Well, its an issue now. Do whatever you need to do to get him outa here.
We all know its not gonna happen this year. But if he doesn't straighten this team out I believe next year he's gone.
I'm sorry, this is on Pike
Dylan and Ace have exceeded expectations up until now. I believe their efforts have been excellent up until now but they have to be beyond frustrated with the situation .
Each of these kids could be anywhere in the country and surrounded with players that could help their games
This is the biggest travesty in the history of Rutgers sports
Pike had two generational talents fall into his lap and he couldn't even put competent Big Ten level talent around them
He has two guys that get 40 a game combined
He didn't need that much
He needed to compliment them
Some size , some defense , a shooter athletically good enough to be on the floor
He got none of those things from the portal
Pike was given an opportunity to look for complimentary players only and he didn't do his job
This is not on these 18 yo kids
Agree 1000%. Pike needed to find players to compliment Dylan and Ace. But I just don't understand Dylan's lack of effort last night at times, especially defensively. It was an embarrassment. TV announcer called it out. Tape of this game won't do his pro selection order any good. That's for sure and his Dad ought to light into him over it.

With the effort both of them have given this year I think it's pretty disingenuous to just accuse them of quitting on the season now.

I'm lucky enough to sit pretty close to the court. I can tell you the following for a fact.

Ace was a shell of himself. Looked winded almost from the start. Which we (should) all know is classic tell tale of being sick. Your wind just goes. Basketball skills still there and he was hitting shots early but you just can't get yourself to do the little things that lead to winning.

Jeremiah must've lost 12 pounds easy. He looked like a midget out there. So scrawny.

Dylan is definitely playing less than 100%. Who knows if it's the ankle or the frosh wall or whatever. But his burst is way down. You also have to give credit to other teams they are making sure to clog that middle and shut down his top of the key drives. They are also wearing him down. Watched him on defense trying to fight through screens he's taking a beating out there. I'm sure Iowa's gameplan is to be physical and hit him early and often.

Last night the second half was gross. There is no denying it. They definitely broke at the end. It happens. Obviously the season is toast. I'd still bet money they come out with good effort next game though. We shall see.

He’ll get two years after this. He’s earned the right to fix the team if he wants it.

Attitude reflects leadership
When you ask two 18 year old freshmen to be your team leaders you are asking for problems. They will both go on to have outstanding NBA careers. Don't know why we don't let HS players go directly onto the NBA

The reason is simply the NBA doesn’t want it bc they want one more year of player development before franchises do evaluation and spend millions on these guys.
