Did you watch the Big Ten bus tour and studio show reviewing Iowa?

Iowa fans, many times, see the Iowa glass as half empty.
Iowa has not won a Big Ten Championship game. Iowa has not made it into the CFP.
Iowa offense has been hit and miss for a decade AND subpar the last two years.

Yet, according to the BTN Bus Tour, check out this data:
KF is third in career Big Ten wins.... in the same breadth as Bo, Woody, Amos.
Hayden and Kirk, only two HC's since the 80's, no other program in the country can make that claim.
Incredible defense the last decade. PPG, INT's, yards per play.....
Outstanding ST's the last few years. Field position, FG wins over Pitt, MIch, Neb, punting is winning.
Complementary football philosophy, tenured / consistency in coaching staff has allowed Iowa to have a high level of development / success.

Iowa fans the glass is MORE than half full.
Is the glass REALLY more than half full? WHY?
Well....
Iowa is one of only five programs that has won at least eight games in the last 7 consecutive years (not easy to do or many others would do it).
Iowa is tied for 14th most wins of 133 FBS teams over last 10 years (more than PSU and ten other teams in Big Ten).
Of the 65 Power 5 programs, Iowa is one of ten teams with the longest active streaks of winning seasons:
(Michigan, PSU and nine Big Ten programs are NOT on this list, thus, it must not be very easy).
9) Oregon (6), ND (6)
8) Utah (9)
7) Iowa ( 10 )
6) OSU (11)
4) Ga. (12), Clemson (12)
3) Ala. (16)
2) Ok State (17)
1) Wisc. (21)
Think of ALL the elite programs in FBS NOT on these lists.

Can the IOWA CEILING be higher - conference championships, CFP appearances, higher scoring offenses. YES.
The IOWA FLOOR has been very, very, very high - defense, ST, results and consistency. Iowa is an excellent program compared to most.

The three data points above = wins at a higher level than most = a consistent, successful, glass half full program.

If the offense can produce at a consistently higher level this year, to thus reach a HIGHER CEILING, is this the year to win a Big Ten Championship and CFP appearance? Is this the year the "glass runneth over"?

Go Hawks.
