almost too much of a fluke to be a fluke...

I mean it is uncanny the match ups those squads have gotten...not only in the first round...but everyone of them lucked into the worst possible seeds in the second round...in a year of upsets, none of them got upset and all of them pretty much benefited as a result of an upset...i'm not a numbers guy, but that is almost an impossibility...

Maryland...got the 13 and not 5
Miami...got the 11 and not 6...
Duke...got the 12 and not 5...
Syracuse...got the 15 and not 2...
UVA...got the 9 and not 8...
Notre Dame...got the 14 and not 3...
UNC...got the 9 and not 8...

I don't know folks...I'm not one for crazy conspiracy theories...but something just isn't sitting right...

I'm shocked by the amount of posters on this board that still believe Maryland is in the ACC.

If you were counting Maryland though that would be 7

I get it the first year but by now people should know what conference a team is in.

And again, the ACC has won the games...give them credit but tougher games are ahead for them.

Would not be surprised at all if it is UNC vs. UVA in the Final Four. I do not see another ACC team making it.

SFA should have beaten ND. Their star missed his last 3 shots when any one of them wins the game

As for the FF, seem like KU vs Duke, UNC vs UVA with KU beating UVA in the finals

Maryland is not in the ACC anymore bro. I think it comes down between UVA and Kansas in the Championship game btw.

6 ACC
3 Big 10
3 Big 12
1 SEC
1 Pac 12
1 Big East
1 WCC

Only 1 team outside the Power 6 conferences, and it's the one most people would guess. Gonzaga.

Sports center just said that with 6 teams making the sweet 16, the ACC will make 30 million dollars because of it.
What share goes to ESPN & the committee members?

Not for nothing but they do have 16 teams. Makes it much easier to have a handful of really good teams.

15 teams.

Holy ****... can we give out a basic test before granting posting rights here? If you can't count, you shouldn't be posting here.

The ACC has had an easy slate thus far and each team could make the elite eight. Historically, it's been a great basketball conference that will make a lot of money from this year's dance. Not SEC football money, but probably more than any conference in history...having to have not played a single team ranked higher than a seven seed so far in the NCAA tournament. They're good, but lucky as well. Gotta have both...and a committee loaded - LOADED - with ACC ties...

Teams seeded 1-4 are expected to make the sweet 16. The large number of upsets in the first round just made it easier for the 1-4 seeds ( ACC had at least 4 that high) and allowed for a couple more to get in.

The ACC is the best bb conference in the country. They knew what they were doing when they absorbed the Big East schools and I am not surprised they have six teams standing.

With the upgrade in coaches, I expect the SEC to improve over the next 3-5 years.
