ACC refs suck

I thought the VT no-call was bad....this is worse. Flip must have pissed in these guys cornflakes.

An absolute travesty. I turned it after that. They froze it and everything. .2 left when the foul occurred. Just a terrible, terrible gutless and flagrant disrespect of the game. Pissed.
Been watching basketball over fifty years and this is one of the worst calls I've seen and a game changer.
The worse part is they checked the replay. I can possibly see it if there was no replay. Egregious as ****
I was mad when Wendell Carter got called for a block in '18. I didn't think a call could ever piss me off that bad again. Boy, was I wrong.
If there was no opportunity for the refs to review the play and the call was made in real time I could get over it. Really I could. I am not one to whine about officials. But this is absurd. It’s abundantly clear the contact was made at .2 seconds. It’s not even close. The fact that the refs got to look at it in slow mo over and over and in a very short period of time called regulation over and no foul is absolute BS. Just insane.
Again, jobs should be lost over this. I've seen refs in the rec leagues make better decisions than this ********. If coaches and players are always held accountable, refs have to be too. We can't keep giving them a free pass. If you messed up this bad at your job, you'd be held responsible; why aren't officials in all sports?

The call offended me but our 22 turnovers offended me even more. The game should not have been that close.
That's what I was saying. It wasn't enough to overturn it. Call on the court was a foul. Ridiculous
I'm not happy about the turnovers either. I'm so pissed about that call that I am struggling to move past it. I'm not Tuck-level pissed, but I am "it was a charge" pissed.
The timing of that one was worse, being in the elite eight. But that game still had time on the clock. This one was a game ender. Literally one call stole the game today, which might make it even worse overall.
Yes but the refs assisted in the turnovers especially in ot. Refs didn't get the -6 cover in regulation since UVA missed so many free throws. They made sure we didn't get it in ot with the charges. Job well done refs
That's what I am saying, this might be worse because it decided the game. It's at least as bad.
If you take emotion out of it we did play better today. Notre Dame at home is certainly a must win game. We are running out of wiggle room.
I'm starting to wonder about some of these calls man.
We can't lose on Tuesday that would be disastrous.

Come on, how long you been watching Duke? Officials can literally bend Duke over and ram it in their a$$ with no repercussions. This has been going on a long time, Duke just had better teams to overcome it most of the time.
I'm not saying we get every call. But Grayson took like 3 steps on that Virginia buzzer beater. I will say that no ref is intimidated by Jon.
You're not wrong. But I feel the basketball gods have paid Duke and Grayson back on that one with interest. The roll in '18 and that blown call in the OT.
I'm going to get hammered tomorrow and watch the Eagles beat the Chiefs....hopefully. I want the sour taste of this loss to not linger. I can't imagine how the players feel. Robbed with a capital ******.
Duke hasn’t got many calls since they suspended the refs from the Duke/FSU game with JJ & Sheldon. The ACC made a big deal about it and investigate the refs and suspended them. They would never do that now to benefit Duke. ACC is a joke
We battled and had the #8 team on the ropes at their place. I'm not a big moral victories guy but if we compete like this going forward we will be okay. This is clearly not a great team. We do need to make less turnovers.
The most significant win here is that we almost won with Flip not scoring. If you had told me Flip doesn't score, I figure we're losing by 20.
If I were a freshman I'd be mad but this would have to be a confidence builder. All things considered maybe our best road game (GT is a train wreck) and it should show them they can play with anyone.
