Tough scheduling again for the B1G. Granted, the ACC is probably the better league, but the actual matchups always seem to be in the ACC’s favor. I think the B1G will be fortunate to come away with 5-6 wins this year and there is a good chance they will be 0-4 to start.

Nebraska vs. Clemson
Minnesota vs. Boston College
Illinois vs. Notre Dame
Virginia Tech vs. Penn State
Michigan State vs. Louisville
N.C. State vs. Wisconsin
Pittsburgh vs. Iowa
Indiana vs. Duke
Virginia vs. Maryland
Syracuse at Ohio State
Rutgers vs. Miami (Fla.)
North Carolina vs. Michigan
Purdue vs. Florida State
Georgia Tech vs. Northwestern

I think it's pretty even.

Clemson = Nebraska
Minny > BC
Notre Dame > Illinois
Va Tech > PSU
Mich St > Louisville
Wisconsin > NC State
Iowa > Pitt
Duke > Indiana
UVA > Maryland
Cuse > Ohio State
Miami > RU
Michigan = UNC
Florida State = Purdue
Northwestern > Ga Tech

So by my estimation of the 14 games, b1g will be favored in 5 games, acc will be favored in 6 games, and basically close to pick em's in 3 games. pretty even imo

I can’t see Nebraska winning at Clemson and I think BC will beat Minny. I also can’t see Purdue winning at Florida State.

I think Ohio state may be better than Cuse too . They have been bad early on this season

I hate that their best never plays our best. I’d like to see MSU v. Duke, Mich. v. UVA, etc. Instead we get Indiana at Duke, really?

It should be much closer than last year's 11-3 won by the ACC. Segarin has the BIG rated as the # 1 league in the country. I think Minnesota must win to give the BIG any chance. I am hoping that we can pull off an upset.

Fwiw, Seth Greenberg predicted an overall B1G win the other day.

Not just based on this game but I believe the B1G is much deeper this year and wins out easily. Like Broderick Crawford good. 10-4!
Let all the youngsters guess what that means [banana] lol

Nice Crawford reference. I'm a Willie Stark fan, myself.

I still think this BIG-ACC Challenge will be very close. It could end up 7-7 but I sure hope that the BIG wins.

Well I thought Clemson and Minnesota would win last night, so I'm off to a rollicking start.

VaTech, Michigan State, NC State, Duke, and Illinois tonight. I expect those first four to be pretty much consensus picks.

that was a toss up (as was G1) and we really could have used it. Rest of way sorted by kenpom probabilities

iowa- pitt 86%
wis-ncst 76%
nw-gt 72%
msu-lou 68%

OSU-cuse 59%
mich-unc 57%
psu-va tech 49%
pur-fsu 39%
md-va 39%

ill-ND 27%
ind-duke 16%
ru-mia 12%

If you sum up probabilities you get exactly 6-6

The B1G is 1-2 so far tonight and Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin are all currently losing. Not a good look.

The B1G loves to dissappoint.

I'd be hard pressed to believe that Mich state loses 2 in a row to Louisville and us. Izzo was angry, probably not a good sign for us, but crazier things have happened.

Iowa, Wisconsin and PSU win on the night. Challenge even at 4-4 assuming Duke continues destroying Indiana

My 7-7 prediction is looking like it could happen. Hopefully we can really step it up and help the BIG. That would be nice.

I heard an announcer say that the B1G has only lost two of the last 9 ACC challenges. So the B1G has won or tied 7 of the last 9. Hopefully we can help make it 8 out of 10.

holy moly the Big 10 has a lot of ranked teams...Iowa is 14...they were tied for 11th, 12th, 13th in the Big 10 last year at 4-14

Big 10 is best conference in land from a depth perspective. So many Top 30 teams. ACC has more top heavy teams (Duke; UNC; UVA ) etc...

Michigan looks like a legit national title contender..of course by the end of last year they were too, no surprise....now that game at the RAC in full hoops season mode could be sick
