How do they decide who plays who? Do they just throw the teams names in a box and pull them out. Doesn't make much sense.

I always thought it was a mix of how the teams finished last year in conference (so like a top 5 team in the Big Ten matches up against Top 5 tram in the ACC) and how the teams look this year... could be completely off though

It's money. No other B1G team but IU can draw ratings. It's why we play Duke or UNC every year.
