Iowa has a good defense but their offense needs some work.No playoff game will be a 10-3 type of game.Rutgers should have beaten Michigan.

The only real reason to be down on Michigan would be based on our game and outside of that game Rutgers is 3-0, right? Michigan blew the snot off of everyone else they played and it’s not like they played Howards. Every team they played has beaten at least one P5 team so far.

I mean objectively speaking (looking purely at resumes) what has OSU done? They lost their toughest game at home vs. Oregon. Then what? I get that they have the talent to go off at any time (including against us next week) but so far, on paper, the only team they’ve dominated is Akron. For perspective on how bad Akron is - Temple beat them by 21 points AT AKRON without Mathis available (Mathis returned this past week - he also did not play in their loss at BC).

…#15 Iowa State loses (so much for “playoff” hype at 2-2 now)
#23 Kansas state on their way out against OkSt
#4 Oklahoma down once again, but still time left to salvage

all of these are to unranked teams

With OU surviving at the end, those 3 games provided a net gain for the Big 12. KSU-Okie St was a wash as the Cowboys have yet to lose and they basically replace the Wildcats.

Baylor over ISU is a positive for the conference. Unlike ISU, Baylor has yet to lose, and there is the added bonus of knocking some luster off of Iowa’s win over ISU.

1. UT San Antonio 7-0
2. UT El Paso 6-1
3. UT Austin 4-3
