On top of that, he currently has access to this legend anytime he wants. And yet, he has one of the worst records in the history of Nebraska football.

It's also amazing he could field the #1 scoring offense in just Year 2 at UCF, yet still has a crap offense in Year 4 here. I mean, that UCF was a well-oiled machine that ran a blistering tempo. But his Nebraska offense makes Mike Riley's offense look exciting by comparison.

UCF isn't exactly a top academic institution, if the players there could pick up the offense quickly, I don't see why so many players here seem to struggle with it.

It's absolutely amazing that even in YEAR FREAKING 4 we can't sniff a bowl game. We simply have terrible coaching on the offensive side of the ball. Whatever happens, happens. I'm spent. At least volleyball is enjoyable to watch and I'm ready for the fighting Hoibergs!

AAC vs B1G are two different animals. Plus he was winning with a lot of George O'Leary's kids. Throw in a QB that you might find every 10 years or so and it was lightning in a bottle for one season. He was also lucky that year, heck Memphis had them beat two different times in the AAC championship game and literally gave the game away. He parlayed that into the Nebraska job without any proven longevity as a winning head coach. He just needs to humble himself and change. He should be the CEO, hire an offensive coordinator and special teams coach and let them do their jobs.

He benched Adrian for an even worse QB last year. And I’m sure he knew McCaffrey was worse, but he did it to shake things up and appease fans. There’s no reason to think Smothers is any better than Adrian.

This is like when Yant went off against Northwestern and everyone points at the coach and wonders how stupid he is for not playing him until game six. Then we see the next two games why he hadn’t played yet.

Not excusing Frost for this train wreck. It’s his fault. But the whole, “Frost refuses to drop his ego and bench Adrian” narrative is hilarious. He literally did it last year, and I would bet my house we’d be no better off with Smothers.

Oliver Martin runs a legit 4.4 40 and is most definitely NOT slow buddy!

Not only at college level either...if we had an accurate quick release QB that knew how to make reads and no turnovers ... we’d be undefeated!

Also, the level of competition was not nearly as strong. He didn't face the likes of Oklahoma, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa.

That’s all on SF for not having a better OL or WR room. He is the professional getting paid millions. AM is doing the best he can, is that good enough? Probably not. But again that’s on SF for not having a suitable replacement.

Well, they lost half their starters to the NFL. I agree that he was what made that team great, arguably all time great, but they were stacked.

Man how we forget. Nebraska getting yards is not the problem. It is getting the ball in the end zone. They went up and down the field on Minnesota and they have outgunned pretty much ny team they have played and if they haven't they have been within 50 yards of the opponent. Execution of the offense is the problem. Frost didn't forget how to coach overnight. He is doing what he can with the quarterback he has.

Its impossible to find a QB who never turns the ball over. I mean Tom Brady has almost 200 interceptions, that's just shy of 10 per season. Not saying we are going up against NFL level talent. But only having 3 interceptions and 1 lost fumble is not as bad as the timing of these. 2 were on the last few drives of the games. And I mean the one against OU was one of the best catches ever so... Not saying AM2 is elite by any means but I also don't think we would be close to sniffing a win against a top 10 team without him. And this year we should have beaten 3 of them.

He's an atrocious qb when it matters. We have the opportunity to ice the game away with a score, and he'll find a way to choke it away. On critical downs, he's terrible. 3rd downs or late in halves is where he's at his worst. This isn’t even mentioning all the missed opportunities we have throughout the game because he can't see the field beyond staring down his primary receiver.
