Absolute Travesty..

Committee made the right decision. FSU is not an elite team nor would they have been competitive in the CFP without Jordan Travis.

SEC has won 4 straight national championships and 6 of the last 9. That conference deserves the benefit of the doubt until they are defeated when it counts
Respectfully disagree on all counts. Concocting a future scenario based on perceived weaknesses due to injuries, or in Michigan's case, some penalty-suspension, shouldn't be a factor. IMO, FSU's problem is they play in a pony league despite having had ample opportunity to put on their sec big boy pants. What if Nebraska got a little better (fg kicker, OC, QB) and went to the Mountain West. Instead of losing every game 10-13 they could win 20-13. Should they then whine about not being invited?

As for what the SEC has done in the past, who cares? This is the 2023 playoffs. Should Nebraska and Oklahoma be considered for their past success?

It has been a joke forever, every division below can figure out a way to run a full playoff. I don't think the 12-team model is great either, just make it like every other division of football and let the players decide it not some dipshits in a room and tv brokers.

Actually, another travesty is how Michigan was even allowed to continue with all of the information that is already public about the actions of their program.

My understanding is that the #1 seed chooses the venue, and Michigan will certainly choose the Rose Bowl over the Sugar Bowl.

It will be the Rose Bowl 100%. But I’m not sure that’s an advantage to either team.

I agree, if you are going to say no to FSU over an injury then why not to Michigan who is on the path to victories being vacated due to cheating

Agree to disagree here.

This is simple for me, there are 4 teams that are deserving in the playoffs who each have a legit chance to win the playoff. If you take out Alabama and insert FSU, there are 4 deserving teams but 1 team with a 0.0% chance of winning the playoff.

Match up FSU with Georgia or Ohio State in a bowl game, watch them get beat soundly, and all this bickering about FSU is going to go away. They are not an elite team without Jordan Travis, plain and simple

FSU didn't look that great all year and had their season saved thanks to Clemson using a former walk-on, grad student, as their kicker who shanked a 30 yarder when the pressure was on.

They also had close wins against fairly average teams.

5-7 Florida Team 9 point win after being behind halfway through the 4th quarter. A team Georgia beat by 23
7-5 Miami Team 7 point win

The Bama, Texas, and Georgia dynamic is interesting. Had Georgia won last night, I think Texas would have been left out and it would have been Georgia, Michigan, Washington, FSU. But that loss flipped all sorts of things and made Texas have a bigger win, which made Bama's only loss an even stronger loss.

Unfortunately this was a year where who you played and how you beat them mattered.
Ok now do all the very close game bama had to ****** teams…

Arky
Auburn
So Florida

Oh and don’t ignore the two-score loss at home.

There is an ncaa rule called The Alabama Exemption. It is based on the mysterious phenomenon that every week, no matter what, some telecaster bozo will declare Alabama to be the best team in the country during their broadcast.
Toadies with votes will comply.
Bama can lose, sometimes twice, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter their ridiculous noncon schedule or the fact they struggled to win all their legit games
They are the best team by default.
You are not wrong

And don’t ignore beating the two time national champions..
They beat Georgia the past two years? I didn’t know this!

Even my seven year made fun of your comment.. he said then Colorado is really good since they beat last years runner up.

Now you’re getting dunked on by seven year olds… a new low

It says they aren’t in a power conference
ACC has more national titles than the Big since: name your amount of years

usf 13-3
Aggies 26-20
3 point win against Arky lol
Miracle against Auburn lol

Texas or Alabama would be 7-10 point favorites over Florida State.
And Oregon was 9 point favorites against Washington. Hell, FSU was 17.5 point favorites against Nebraska for the 94 orange and if there was replay they lost that game 23-12.

All of you are casuals who believe in arguments that has ruined the sport and taken an opportunity away from aboit a hundred 18-22 year olds in Tallahassee who earned an opportunity to compete. Congratulations. I award you zero points and may God have mercy on your souls.

you guys believe 3rd string qb fsu beats alabama? come on.
Proving you're a moron since this second stringer will be back. Doesn't matter, undefeated and conf champ, with a better resume. How many teams did Bama struggle with. They don't deserve it, this is crooked big time

Beating Bama at home by two scores was the bigger factor.
As soon as Texas as the 3, I knew Bama was getting in. No way the committee was going to have ESPN, I mean the SEC not have a team in the playoffs.

Anyone actually think of the FSU QB is fully healthy and that is the only change the committee doesn’t anything differently? Raise your hand and then slap yourself with it.

To be honest, every fan of college football should find an Auburn fan and absolutely berate for about an hour for allowing their team to give up that throw in the Iron Bowl.

am I the only one that thinks they got it right? The top 3 are clearly correct. If it wasn’t for a PI against OU, I think Texas is unbeaten at this point. Bama, Ohio St, UGA, and FSU all had cases but Bama had the hardest schedule of the 4. Only one that played 2 out of the top 7 teams. UGA was probably the best out of them, with tOSU the second best. But they didn’t win their conference as either did UGA. FSU schedule was soft. Strength of Schedule matters

nope. they took the four best teams at season's close. that was their charge.
So, according to your theory, if say Vanderbilt loses it's first 3 games of the year then goes undefeated the rest of the way and wins the SEC title, they should be in cause they're playing the best at seasons end?

FSU beat Florida by two scores..

Oh now do New Mexico Sate vs Auburn- you walked right into that dumbass
You clearly didn’t watch FSU vs Florida. And I didn’t know Auburn was in the talk.

Bama beat UGA. Who’d FSU beat? LSU? Wow, great. So did Bama

Wow you’re dumber than I thought.

New Mexico State DESTROYED auburn. The following week Alabama need the refs to barley beat auburn by 3… you obviously didn’t watch the game 🤣

This is why I like the NFL more then college. ACC 6-4 against SEC. FSU got screwed!!

Texas really what cost FSU. One loss Texas would have been left out had they not beaten Bama head up.

Also weren't leaving SEC out given viewership of that region and past dominance. This left FSU as odd man out with excuse of SOS, bad offense and hurt QB as justification.

SUCKS for fans of FSU and ACC but really not relevant in future with 12 team playoff. All major conference Champs and any Undefeated D1 teams in starting next year.

If Texas or Alabama (Especially Alabama) win... and FSU beats Georgia. I say they give the NC to Florida State. Only undefeated P5 team with wins over Georgia and LSU

Both you and your kido can’t comprehend, nothing was said about winning the last 2 years against Georgia, everyone that follows college football knew Georgia had a 29 game winning streak heading into the game..

Try this again Bama beat the 2 time defending National Champion, repeat it twice might help you let it sink in..

If your undefeated confernce champion gets left out of a playoff in favor of not 1 but 2 one loss conf champions then that tells you all you need to know about the pecking order of your conference
