All, I’m the op on the mask mandates. I’m not trolling or trying to start anything, but it is amazing how willing to fight everyone is. I purposely didn’t make my position known. I had just read in multiple places that Rutgers was a university that was bringing back masks. I didn’t know if that was true so I figured I would just ask my brethren here if anyone knew more. Geez, I was surprised at the outcome.

Personally I despise them bringing back such a draconian control technique as masks. Especially since when I was researching Covid in JAN 2020 the CDC themselves had an article up on how useless masks would be for the pandemic. Just a few months later politics kicked in over science and the article came down.

Anywho, at its core it was a Jersey Mikes, RAC, basketball question….does anyone know or has anyone heard about masks coming back for this season? Thanks

With the mask nazis patrolling the fans and screaming at them if their mask wasn’t completely over their nose? That was one of the most humiliating and draconian experiences going to the games back then.

Yes, very akin to actual Nazis. If that’s the most humiliating thing you’ve had to endure, you’ve lived a charmed life.

The mask mandate is not coming back at all, end of discussion.

It’s also important to note that this wave is significantly smaller than any wave the US has experienced since the pandemic started, all with zero current precautions. Lost in all the hysteria is the fact we’ve made tremendous progress in limiting covid’s impact. Each successive wave is far smaller than the last, with fewer if any restrictions. That’s a huge win, but you never see that discussed.
