If we do not change the starting QB, at least abandon the pass for this game against IOWA.

1) IOWA gave up lots of running yards to ND State last week.
2) Our starter was 11 of 27 in passing attempts last week.
3) Our running backs and O line seem to be getting it done even with opponents stacking the box.
4) OK maybe sprinkle throws in there a couple times but just like players earn more or less time based on their performance, our pass plays have earned less executions based on their success rate (at least with the starter at the helm).
5) Starting QB has done a decent job at handling the shotgun snaps and handing the ball off.
6) IOWA will expect a heavy dose of rush but not THAT heavy.
7) Oh and train somebody to pass the ball so we can change the game plan for the following week.

I'm with you OP, maybe not abandon but give him like 10 attempts the entire game...we're already one dimensional and our opponents know that...let's embrace it

Based on the stats from last week are you sure we didn't already? One bomb and really nothing else.

Abandon the pass? Never. Need to keep on attempting to spread the field at least horizontally including use of pass plays. Playing inside the tackles box with run only is not a good idea.
