I thought Ian Rappaport was credible enough to post.... Should have known better. If it isn't Shefty, it isn't legit. But to my credit, sounds like the deal was in place and the only reason it didn't go through was because Brown refused to commit, and said he would possibly retire instead of reporting.

AB is finding out what a lot of diva WR's have found out before him, the NFL might want you, but it doesn't need you, and at some point the juice ain't worth the squeeze.
He is bigger and better in his own head than he is to any other team. Plus he is 31 or will be, past his prime. He isn't worth the money he wants. He said if he doesn't get what he wants he will just retire. I don't see that happening. Either a team will eventually take a chance and give him what he wants or he well finally realize he isn't going to get what he wants and make a deal with a team.

I'm not sure I would want the guy on my team just for all of the conflict he brings. Maybe the right QB and coach could stroke his ego enough to keep him happy for a while, but eventually he'll melt down again. I understand that he's trying to leverage his position in to a longer term deal as insurance against injury but man at some point you have to be happy for what you've got.

Wasn't it recently he was trying to sell private msg video to people. For $500 he would wish your husband, wife, kid, grandma, coworker a happy bday or whatever. The guy is so full of himself it isn't even funny.

Hadn't heard that one. He may be a hard practice worker, but he goes beyond Diva. Somebody will probably give him the ridiculous money he wants but I wouldn't.

Looking like it could be between Eagles and Raiders right now. I am guessing he had a feeling that teams would just be banging down his door to get him to come play for them. That isn't happening.

If he goes to the Raiders I have officially given up on Gruden...why do you trade a younger Amari to bring in this older headcase? Plus, in case Gruden forgot, he still doesn't have a QB to get AB the ball.

So one could say they traded Amari Cooper plus a 3rd and a 5th for Antonio Brown and a 1st rounder. I will definitely take it!
AB may just work with the Raiders. I wonder what the terms will be in his new contract regarding cutting him if there's problems.

They upped AB pay to make him the highest paid WR in the league. They are essentially paying AB the money they should have given to Mack.

Bad news for my Broncos. Damn.

I don't think it will matter much. Teams that finish 3rd in the division usually dont make the playoffs. Raiders and Broncos need to wait for Rivers to retire to complete for 2nd.

AB got his payday--18m from the Raiders and I heard 21m from the Steelers owed guaranteed money. Not too bad a payday. Hard to believe the league can pay that way. I fondly remember the old NFL. Edit: I heard wrong--turns out it is 50m total. My excuse? It is hard to hear well with your head in a toilet, puking. Unreal. The inmates are running the asylum.

I think getting rid of Keesum might've already mad the Broncos better than the Chiefs. Chiefs will take a massive step back this season and the Chargers will be the team to beat in the West.

Chiefs clinch the west by week 14. Our O and D will both be Improved next season.
