“Yeah that’s a good question. Like many of us, and I’ve seen a lot of comments on this, and obviously my story coming back from Peru before the country kind of went into a lockdown, I think we all were buying into the idea of quarantine to flatten the curve.
“I think there are a lot of questions now that it’s more of a house arrest to find a cure with people wondering what exactly that means as far as the future of the country and the freedoms we are allowed to have at this point.”

Can someone enlighten me as to why Aaron Rodgers is so unpopular? Whenever he comes up in conversation, it’s not unusual for me to hear, “That guy’s an *******” or “He’s crazy.” But when I ask people why they say that, they just shrug their shoulders. Any insight?

If Rona has proven anything, it's that 80% of people are sheep.

Im guessing that disowning his family is a factor for a lot of people

Think it stems from his family fallout and his brother blasting him over it.

I think that it has proven that a large % ARE willing to sacrifice for the benefit of others. Some now see the need to stop once it appears that the curve has been flattened and that the line for more harm than good has been crossed. Some folks are literally scared to death and seem to want to move from the don't overwhelm healthcare system stance (reasonable) to maybe we can keep people from getting it stance (impossible). If most folks would turn off the news, life would get better for all.

winner winner.

last week i had a long *** talk with one of my kids about why she never sees the news on tv at our house. it got into reporting bias, story bias, perception vs reality due to coverage, and a lot more. pretty sure it was too much and that she came away thinking the news is da debil. we will have to walk her back off that position a little bit in the coming years!

Aren't you relatively young? With fairly young kids? I am getting a pretty solid laugh at the thought of you discussing "reporting bias, story bias, perception vs reality due to coverage, and a lot more" with a little girl that's like 4 years old and just wants to watch Bubble Guppies and eat some fruit snacks.

Ha, that would be funny. She is 13. It all started due to a 'rona discussion we had earlier that day as a family.

I'll give you credit. At least you're the same at home as you are on Sixpack.

“Good morning, Grandpa” notwithstanding, I would point out the lack of onus he takes for his team’s poor performance. It’s always someone else’s fault.

There are also the Greg Jennings and Donald Drivers of the world that point out what a ****** teammate he is/was.

Also, his family hates him.

Imo, it’s good to have a high profile guy speaking that way, instead of the same liberal agenda type ****.

As someone who has raised a daughter, I can tell you there is an equal chance she just thinks you're crazy!

I don’t think any players like him personally

At least I haven’t heard of any. He also has a reputation for not interacting with the public at all in GB, which is not the norm up there. No clue if that’s true or not.

In his defense a few weeks ago, he was quoted as saying quarantine for himself and a lot of other wealthy people isn't exactly the quarantine much of the country is dealing with. He said the privilege need to shut up about the miseries of quarantine. I do respect him for admitting that.

His situation, and that of other wealthy people, is so obvious that I don't necessarily think he garners respect by vocalizing it. It's merely a statement of fact.

But other celebrities act like they are making a sacrifice to stay at the pad on the beach in Malibu while the private chef cooks for them and the accountant tells them how much money their IG account made that day. “We’re in this together. Just stay home so we can get through this.” No we’re not “together”, y’all live in a whole other world.

I bet you are a great Mommy!**

Joke? Insult? Both? Neither?
This calls me a woman, so insult. And it sarcastically says im good at it, so insult there too?

Sometimes I think I am on the spectrum when I cant understand what apparently many others understand when it comes to insults. I look at this post and figure its an insult, but have no idea what to make of it.

Serious advice: let her live to see 10th grade. Mine was tough to deal with 2nd half of 8th grade through end of 9th grade. Hormones are basically drugs that teenagers have no say in, nor do they have any control over them...

Way over simplifying it here I'm sure --- from what I've read about the guy it sounds like his family is extremely religious, and he probably was for many years too. At some point in his life he must have started questioning those beliefs that had pretty much been taught to him since he was born, and he suddenly realized he didn't want to be a part of that anymore.

I get the impression he resents that his parents pretty much forced those beliefs on him. Who knows what's happened between them. My guess is he told them he no longer believed what they did, and they may have responded by trying to bring him back into the fold (or however you want to say that). He doesn't want any part of that - and the only way he can avoid it is to completely shut them out of his life.

Same here.

I'll watch the news (e.g., NBC, ABC or CBS) maybe once every 3 weeks, and I'll quickly remember why I don't watch it.

The bias those networks show in their news reports is extreme. (my opinion)

well he has zero contact with his family...Jordan hasn't spoken to him in years...That would do it for me but here are two other opinions..
