The XFL will survive 1-2 seasons and fold as well. People over the past 55 years have tried to compete with the NFL to no avail. You would think others would learn from past failures of other leagues but there is always someone who thinks they can make it work.

I saw a few plays on TV. The quality of play is pretty bad.

The USFL may well have succeeded had it stayed its course as a spring league but that's in the past. Seems very unlikely another league will catch on at this point.

A big problem with leagues like the AAF is the QB play. The best QB’s are on the 2 or 3 deep of NFL rosters already, leaving some pretty bad QB’s for leagues like the AAF.

That's a good point. The games might be more exciting if these minor league football teams would run some off nominal offenses. Maybe grab some running QBs out of college that don't want to switch positions or don't quite have the talent to make it to the NFL. This type of league would be a perfect opportunity to test out different play styles that could attract some viewers.

There will eventually be a UFC style league that allows illegal hits and more violence. As the NFL gets more soft there will be a niche.
