Hard to fathom the stupidity. I have been guilty of getting behind the wheel after a couple drinks in my youth but I always was mindful of it and drove like a grandma. I wouldn't drive that fast stone cold sober on a road I shared with others, let alone intoxicated. This goes way beyond drunk driving.

2) He is going away for a few years in the joint.

3) He will never step on an NFL field again

How could he not be convicted? Drunk, driving 156 mph in the city, and rear-ends another car. And kills the occupant.

He's just lucky that Corvette has good driver protection.

Apparently Ruggs lost a good friend in HS in a one car flip over where the driver was driving recklessly in rain and lost control. So sad that this didn't have any effect on his driving habits.

Even in a Corvette , it's hard to get a vehicle up to 156 mph on city streets. Incredible.

I personally think its "incredible" that a car that will do 156mph (or more) is legal on the streets anyway
