Iowa has a lot to fix.
Hopefully this game was a wake up call. Iowa State had no business being in this game.

There’s always things to fix but I actually didn’t think they looked that bad. The D was very stout and when it came down to win it, Iowa could move the ball on a P4 rival and Iowa State couldn’t.Iowa has a lot to fix.

They were selling out on the run. It’s obvious KF/TL are trying to put Brown in situations to be successful (lots of runs, high percentage passes) etc, but when it came down to it, Hank moved ball enough to get scores.I was worried about ISUs D. It's a funky alignment that made it very difficult to run. Brown looked fairly sharp passing for most of the night so that gives me hope for the rest of the season.
We won. Have a beer
2022 vs SDSU would like a wordI have never felt worse after a win
Pathetic effort all around.
It’s the new age. There is no rebuild. Every P4 team can afford a decent roster.Amazed ISU could put together a team like that with 83 new players.
Heck of a coaching job.
Agreed…fyck Iowa State.Iowa has a lot to fix.

Good lord did he miss a ton of deep shotsI was worried about ISUs D. It's a funky alignment that made it very difficult to run. Brown looked fairly sharp passing for most of the night so that gives me hope for the rest of the season.
However, in this era of NIL…will they really get “Big 12 talent”…whatever that is?Iowa State is very well coached. This series will remain close every season. If they could hang with us with a collection of G6 misfits, they will continue to win their share as they build up Big 12 talent.
Iowa not being "up" for this game has been a recurring problem throughout the KF era.....and I'll never understand it.
I second that to quote dbag coach jimmy what he said at their bball game F@#k Iowa state.Agreed…fyck Iowa State.
I expected our team to come out bully them based upon the last two years and the decided advantage we had on talent and continuity. I’m glad we won but that was a dogshit coaching job in terms of preparation and game plan.Terribly coached game, the boys were not prepared. The clowns were hungry, ready, and aggressive. Iowa was caught off guard and couldn't match it.
We've got a lot of good tape to improve off of this. But these Ferentz September Slumps suck.
JFC dude. It’s Iowa fvcking state. A win is always satisfying against those fvcks. Imagine for one minute we lost to a cyclone team that has zero returning starters from last year.Least satisfying win I can remember in a long time.
Now the Hawks hoops teams (both men and women) need to smack down the clones.I second that to quote dbag coach jimmy what he said at their bball game F@#k Iowa state.
They run a scheme on both D and O that will serve them well in the Big12. ISU once again has found a good coach. Problem as always will be keeping him if he's successful.Iowa State is very well coached. This series will remain close every season. If they could hang with us with a collection of G6 misfits, they will continue to win their share as they build up Big 12 talent.

UNI 2009 immediately comes to mind. That just felt dirty.I have never felt worse after a win
Pathetic effort all around.
He's right, ya know. The Big 12 supervisor of officials needs to take a look at a few things in that game.
7-3 with 2 safeties and a FG against a 1-AA team didn't feel worse? Somebody share Animal House BS GIF.I have never felt worse after a win
Pathetic effort all around.
Always easier to get up as the underdog. We’re rarely the underdog in this rivalry.Iowa State is very well coached. This series will remain close every season. If they could hang with us with a collection of G6 misfits, they will continue to win their share as they build up Big 12 talent.

How's the water in Ames today?Least satisfying win I can remember in a long time.
Coach clone (whatever his name is) was pretty pissed/bummed in post game. He could hardly stay around to finish answering questions.Something tells me ISU spent all of fall camp prepping for this game, with one week prepping for SEMO, so all their eggs in the beat Iowa basket.
