Who's mad. I'm trying to give the most people the most liberty. Like I said, if you guys want to make it a zero sum game I'm fine with Trump crushing the left into oblivion.

Why is it that this subject makes you so angry?

Snowflake, if you want a country where all people believe what you believe and a “Christian country,” go start your own. Don’t let the door hit you in the *** and don’t forget your crying towel.

Did I say that? The Constitution is the foundation of our country, not a piece of paper as you suggested in a previous post.
You did not say it you just liked it. Did you just like his message because he is currently “on your team” even though you did not agree with his statement?

EDIT: Also having a conversation about dissolving is not betrayal. My point in this comes from the side that it was actually encouraged to fight back against tyrannical government

Wtf are you even talking about? I didn’t like anyone’s post who said the dictionary is more important than the Constitution.

And yes, talk about dissolving the Union is being a traitor. Geez!

patriotism
[ˈpātrēəˌtizəm]
NOUN
  1. the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one's country.

The constitution clearly defines what is considered treason against the United States!
And here is the post you liked

Thanks for the definition of patriotism?

This is the post I liked. Again, it says nothing about the dictionary above the Constitution.

Constitution above all. Speaking of dissolving is treason.

Ask him what he thinks about the electoral college.
They will ***** about how we must follow the constitution until you bring up the EC or 2A and they want to talk about how shortsighted the founding fathers were about their feelings.

It's interesting to me how much more accepted this conversation has gotten since this thread was created

My position for a few years now has been this, there is not enough common ground between the left and right politically or culturally anymore to allow for effective governance. There are issues that do not have a comfortable middle ground and thus require us to pick one side or the other. I have advocated for a peaceful separation into culturally and politically coherent entities that can form partnerships economically and militarily while still allowing for each to create a governmental structure that embodies the ideals of its citizens. For holding this position I've been mocked, shamed, called vile names and had many unsavory encounters here online. My position allows for the most amount of liberty for each group of citizens, it is anti-Authoritarian and in fact is a return to the more idealized governance that the Framers of the Constitution had in mind. Now, what is your reasoning for wanting to allow this cultural conflict to come to it's ultimate conclusion of authoritarianism and the subjugation of one group at the hands of the other?
I agree with everything you said. The problem is finding even the smallest points of agreement on the economy and national defense around which to develop cooperation. The right holds to nationalism. The left is globalist. This has serious implications on the military. The right believes individuals should control the means of production—a market-based economy. The left believes the government should control the means of production—a collectivist-based economy. On what basis then can each group cooperate?

Our final demise will not be bloodless. You'll never get enough parties to agree to a friendly divorce. We have passed the point of no return. We have fallen, we just don't know it yet.

The only chance we have of saving our country is a convention of the states.

I've been thinking about this a lot often. When did the fall start? Was it federalism > states' rights? Was it federal income tax? Was it the Federal Reserve? Was it FDR? Was it science > religion? Was it going off the gold standard? Roe v. Wade seems too far down the path.

Our government loves our tax dollars but it is safe to say many of the "services" our tax dollars fund serve our government more than they serve the taxpayers.

We can't, we're too far gone.

The move away from States Rights into a centralized governmental structure is the impetus.

16th and 17th Amendments aka Income Tax and Direct election of Senators.
Both was well intended. Both are failures. Direct elections was mentioned to stop only the rich from representing...... worked for awhile. Taxes to pay for defense was a good idea.... until they started spending it on everything else . Both show we need to get back to states taking care of ourselves.
I can hear the bastards talking about starting the taxes back then ...." if we don't do this and be prepared the Russians will get us" said all the dirty bastards....

What's interesting is how close reality is to the Left Behind series of books I read 20 years ago.

Not just our country. Earth is lost.

In all fairness gays should be allowed in the church .....any church problem starts when preachers or priest claim its not a sin to take it in the pooper. A gay person going into church is no different than me leaving the whole house and going to church .

I've always enthralled with eschatology and read all the books and watched endless hours of video teachings about the end times. The last few years I've delved into the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Esscenes who wrote and kept them. If they're correct then things are about to get very, very interesting.
