That Steve sark is in Starkville today. And the Bama folks don’t believe he would take it because he doesn’t see himself as a good fit and guaranteed saban a certain number of years. Sorry if germans.

This doesn't seem like a good idea. Alcohol use aside, he was 34-29 at Washington and capped out at 8 wins. Briefly at USC, briefly OC at Bama, two years as OC for the Falcons then was fired, now one year as OC at Bama.

Wash won 11 games in the four years before he got there. 11 total.

Surprised so many on this board don't like Sark, I think he'd be an upgrade from most names I've heard on the short list, he's certainly a more known commodity. Its my understanding the drinking problem is behind him so there's no reason to hold that over his head. Guy can coach and if we don't give him shot someone else will and they'll end up with a fine coach. Sark wouldn't be in over his head at State, that's for sure.

****, this is gonna be a long weekend.

Of 17ing course we are going to talk to C-list guys like Sark, maybe even Chizik, etc., just to keep the process rolling. But none of these guys have a chance. Purely stall tactics to take the spotlight off Napier for a few days. Nothing substantial will happen before Tuesday. Gonna be a lot of BS out there between now and then.

No on Sark. We’ll have another Mullen on our hands with his name coming up for every opening for the next five years.

He’s Chizik without the ring.

Yes the drinking problem is behind him. While working for my falcons, he never once had a problem with it. Honestly the offense this year slacked without him. I joked with my brothers we should give him a look if Moorhead was fired, didn’t think it would actually happen tho.

That would be awful to have a coach who wins games consistently & fields teams that compete & represent MSU well. **

But yeah, no on Sark because I just don’t think he’s that good.

If we’re going down on the list, what’s the difference and why would we hire this guy over Hudspeth? Makes no sense.

I like offense and I like coaches that can develop Qb's. I'd be good with Sark.

Sark would be an OM type hire. I mean hell it would literally be almost the exact thing OM did with Kiffin. Splash name with West Coast roots and a ton of baggage....with minimal substance. His record is about the same as Kiffin’s too when comparing just the Power 5 / NFL portions.

Steve Sarkisian followed Tyrone Willingham at Washington after the 2008 season, when the Huskies finished 0-12. He did bring the program back to respectability, but eventually earned the nickname "Sark and Five." Over five years in Seattle, his record was 34-29, 24-21 in conference. You couldn't get excited about the Huskies during that time, but Sarkisian was good enough to stay on. It was considered a gift when USC stole him away, paying UW a buyout, and making room for the hire of Chris Petersen.

I appreciate Coach Sarkisian's contributions to the Washington program and wish him the best in his coaching endeavors, but he is not the man for Mississippi State.

Sark would be a good hire. People would complain bc of his reputation, but we could do much worse. I would worry about his dedication and longevity

I had to laugh at this...what should we give him a shot of? Fireball? Tequila?
