today I sat in Row A right behind the Husker bench. I am normally in N End zone. I was absolutely shocked at the lack of life or coaching happening. Was sitting next to a nice lady who has had the seats for hers. She said, back when we were great the discussions in your face by players to other players and coaches was amazing. She said this year never! Most of the players were more interested in the big screen and smiling. I couldn't believe it, never did I see a players pissed off or a coach light into anyone. Tavita was thE only coach i saw even trying to speak with his guys. I have seen more fire in the belly in JV football. It was pathetic and new coach has a huge job in front of him. Didn't see one player being a leader AT FN ALL. SAD

not surprising in the least. i will say that i saw this in the cubs about 5 years ago. a guy would hit a dinger and he'd get some fives and sit down and it just wasn't a big deal. no real fire or emotion, didn't seem like the players liked each other much or cared a whole hell of a lot. a few years later, it was a completely different story. the culture can be changed, but some house cleaning will be needed.

It takes players who are leaders, coaches put in the game plan. These coaches suck at that, I get it but, Leaders on the team hold the other players accountable to perform the plan. I thought maybe it was just today, but when the lady next to me said all year it has been this way, I couldn't believe it.

It’s not surprising at all. We have seen Riley on the sidelines and it’s as if he’s invisible out there. Everyone takes their lead from him. The atmosphere on the sidelines is like being in a morgue.

First game I could make it to this year and I knew it was bad but I hadn't realized how bad it was until I saw it up close. No joy at making a big play. No disgust at missing a tackle. You could tell very early that we were just going through the motions.:( No pride.
