A proper introduction to myself

Maybe my first post on the board should have been to introduce myself, but I jumped in during an emotional time when a lot was going on. I started coming to read this board back at the beginning of the season on the recommendation of a fellow co-worker and signed up for membership a month ago.

I am from Marion County and was a student stat-keeper for the coaching
staff and sat on the bench for the 1993 KHSAA State Championship team
led by Anthony Epps. I am married with a 2 year old young Wildcat fan in training. I am currently taking online classes for a degree in Occupational Safety from Eastern Kentucky University.

I have been a Cats fan my whole life. I was born in 1976 and my first memories are of hearing the crowd chant for Sam Bowie and Kenny Walker was my first favorite player and the first player I ever got to meet. I can remember pretty good all the games from when Rex was playing until now and have seen a lot of great basketball and as well as some bad. Jamal Mashburn is still to this day my favorite of all time, but Kenny Walker, Rex, Delk, Prince, Padgett, Wall, Lamb, Davis, and Booker are just a few of my favorites. I miss the days of seeing players stay longer than a year or two, but I wouldn't trade Cal for anybody. Four Final Fours in five years is the best run I've ever witnessed. If we keep this up and win a title every 1 out of 4 tries, I will take it for sure.

Welcome, grow a tough skin and say what you have on your mind. Someone will not like what you say, who cares you said what you felt. Tough place at times, but still some very good fans on here.

Not sure what happened but meltdowns are the worst time to jump in...especially when comments are of the venting type.

A forum is a community and like a real community....respect comes from being there during the highs and the lows.

just my opinion...

Welcome, my first memories are of listening to Cotton Nash, Dickie Parsons etc. on the radio! Born in 1951, so maybe different perspectives, but we are both Wildcat fans!! GO CATS!!!

I am sure that I will eventually get crucified for saying something people don't agree with or because I don't have 1000 posts yet. I understand you have to earn some respect around here, but not sure I agree with the 1000 post thing. Yes, trolls pop up from other places, but some people just don't comment a lot too. It took me all season to want to comment. I can assure everyone I am not a troll. I support big blue 100% and I try not to be too critical. That's why Cal and Co. get paid the big bucks. I think it should be more about the integrity you demonstrate in your posts and I think you can prove your not a troll well before you hit 1000. I look forward to talking with you guys as time goes on.

Surprised nobody asked about this line yet. "Supplies?"

Maybe he worked for a farm implement company?

While I everything I have heard indicates he has straightened himself out now, let's just say that after he left UK and went back home he didn't exactly participate in activities that were legal.
