losses to Princeton, Kennesaw State and Ohio State by 14 with a healthy Dylan.....you have it right. I dont know why posters are doing this to themselves. Sure this team will win games with a healthy Dylan and be a bad loss for some school with NCAA aspirations, not sure what the definition of run is?

Closes loses to Bama/TexasA&M are meaningless..the outliers at this point, RU needed the last possesion to beat Seton Hall and Notre Dame and staved off a blown lead to secure their sole quality win of the year over Penn State
But what if we have like 12 close losses in the remaining 15 games, won’t that help our resume? This is nuts, some were referencing those close losses and acting like it was a feather in our cap or built up the tournament resume at the time. A loss is a loss, and a loss is not a win. It’s meaningless now anyway as we are cooked at this point but people will still try and grasp at that straw. We also had close losses to Kennesaw and Princeton, funny how no one tried to bring those up as a feather in the cap and what a strong team we have due to those two “competitive losses”hmmm….I wonder why? Losses are losses, and one thing this team was not good at was closing out games for wins. I speak of them in the past tense as their season is already over like it’s in the past.

We lost to Princeton and Kennesaw St previously with Dylan. Our best win is a home win against a Penn St team likely to be on the bubble. We haven’t done a thing on the road or on a neutral court to date, even with “the most dominant player in the B1G”.

This team will definitely win a couple more games behind strong performances from Ace / Dylan, but there is nothing to suggest we’re capable of going on a legit run. Not enough pieces, not enough consistency. Sorry
Hahahaha. You get my vote for the negative Nancy post of the month. Congratulations.

You add his production when healthy and this is a different team with different results. Dylan is aware of the hoopla regarding Flagg’s 42 point game, and will take it as a challenge. He will put this team on his back. Because of this I believe we will go on a winning run with him producing at pre-flu levels. F*ck all the negativity. Let’s get some wins with Dylan leading the way.
I just want to see how we can compete in the B1G with a healthy Dylan and Ace.

Unless he wasted all his energy at the ladies game this weekend.

So does everyone!
But We’re going on 16 days since Dylan’s triple double…there’s been no sign of energy and stamina since

UCLA is reeling almost as much as Rutgers. if Rutgers can't win tonight it might be a long, long time. There's no way Nebraska won't be raring to go Thursday after getting embarrass
ed yesterday.

I don't think so. Close losses to good teams can be a positive early in the season; not because they help your resume (though I guess they could help your NET but that's not the point) but because they can portend future wins.

They aren't a positive when you are midway through the season and need a miracle just to get back to the point where you need a miracle.

It’s all about tonight … UCLA v. RUTGERS. Nothing that has happened before or after tonight’s game matters. The sports cliche about focusing only on the game at hand and going 1-0 applies. Otherwise you get consumed by misery and can’t enjoy your fandom. I have chosen not to let this happen … any longer. My sole focus tonight is to sit in my seat at the RAC and root my team to a win with Dylan leading the way. I’ll worry about Steve Pickell and the impossibility of going to the Tourney afterwards. That is, until the next game, when RU will again attempt to go 1-0.

I’m curious on the health of Dylan tonigjt

Also concerned our attendance will be limited tonight based on recent performance. I do believe our fans are ready to explode based on some good play out there but been hard to come by

Once again the OP identified the key of getting Dylan back and controlling the show and proved absolutely correct. Dylan and ACE and any reasonable support from the supporting cast gives us a good chance in every game .
Ran a lot of high pick and roll with Dylan and Lathan and loved it. Think it can be done closer to the hoop with a 2 man game to one side. Pick and Pop with ACE only ran 1 time I recall and has to be run more. ACE in the corner for stretches is not to my liking but if he is going to cut to the basket or fly in for dunks from Dylan , it can work for a few more offensive sets.
Ace’s defense , rebounding , blocks and assists were outstanding last night with his 20/10 double double . He also walled up in the paint , recovered terrifically to the perimeter and altered other shots. He is starting to become the full package.
But make no mistake Dylan is the key and must be the maestro . Supporting cast had their best game in a long time since Texas A& M and Penn State.

Could explain his difficult recovery from the flu. Asthma doesn't place you at greater risk of getting the flu, but it does increase your risk of flu complications (incl. hospitalization).
winter can be bad for asthma.. cold dry air. Hope Rutgers takes care of him well.. air travel too... so dry.

Wow the OP predicts getting Dylan healthy and we go on a run and he gets ridiculed by some posters. Wow since he posted that the team is 2-0 , Dylan is back and we are going on a run. What has happened ?

What has happened is he was right and it was obvious to most folks. Take the leading big ten scorer off any team or put them at 10% effectiveness for a few games and see how that team does. The. usual knee jerk over emotional absolute negative statements were typically made by the usual posters who are quite quiet tonight. I also know that they will be back in full force should we lose to Penn State. I mean some of these clowns predicted we wouldn’t win another big ten game or not make the big ten tournament.

One game at a time!
Last night was so much fun and we showed great character…Nebby had several opportunities to close the door but we answered and didn’t allow it.
Dylan has 3 more days off to get even stronger.
Weird day for a conference game with NC game on Monday 20th.
