A great team can win in many different ways. A dominant defense, a dominant running or passing offense, or all around athleticism of team.
Appomattox should be listed as a great team because they could beat you either by outscoring or shutting down the other team. They didn't seem to have any weaknesses because their special teams were special and turned several close games into routs like yesterday.
Like all great teams in high school, enjoy it while you can because all schools go thru cycles of talent (especially the smaller schools). For A, AA, and AAA schools the difference between good and great teams can be as little of 3-4 great athletes. Appomattox is reaping the benefits of 7-8 great athletes and 20-30 kids who bought in to make a great team.
