1. I know that a lot of folks were concerned about Marks a couple weeks ago, but after making both an unofficial and an official visit to Florida in Nov, he remains committed to State. Gotta think he’s pretty solid at this point, but am I wrong?

2. Considering the chaos in Fayetteville, it just seems like Alex Adams is there for us if we still wanted him. Any particular reason that we don’t seem to be too anxious in getting him?

3. As badly as we need depth at DT and considering our success with guys in the NFL, why are we barely even in the picture for McKinnley Jackson and Josaih Hayes?

4. If we lose KT and Mayden to the portal, is there even a remote chance that Moorhead makes a push for Ashford?

I'm certainly no recruiting expert but here are some things I have heard or believe:

1. Marks has 'shut it down' and we expect his signature next week.
2. I haven't heard anything about Adams, but I suspect the ship has sailed.
3. I don't think we ever had a shot with Jackson, and I don't really think Ole Miss did either. As for Hayes, he's just not highly regarded by our staff.
4. I haven't heard anything about Mayden transferring. In fact, I doubt he does. He probably comes into next year as the #2. We also have Will Rogers coming in.

My two cents.

2. Adams is Juco bound, that’s why we aren’t pursuing him

3. Jackson has never been interested in us so we haven’t wasted time there. As for Hayes, we have Cooley higher on our board, who is killing it this week at MS-AL practices.

4. I know we like Rogers a lot (QB commit from Brandon) and have the QB from Starkville (Altmeyer) as a priority next year so I think we’re content where we are.

Thanks, the Mayden comment is purely speculation on my part since he didn’t seem to be part of any thought in Moorhead’s head this season, but I’d love to be wrong about that. I think he showed flashes of potential in the past, but the fact that he’s already getting passed on the depth chart is rarely a good sign

I think we would take Altmeyer but Ty Keyes is the best QB prospect to come out of this state in a long time. He is (or at least should be) priority number one for us at QB for the next year, and I think we have been considered the favorite for him up to this point.

I see we have 22 commits. How many can we sign, this signing period?

is there mutual interest between State and the Darin Turner, WR at Central (Memphis, Deddricks school)? He is a big talented WR that just de-committed from Arkansas.

Unfortunately, Randy Moulds already came through.

But according to rumor, there may be others...

On Rogers, he plans to be here next week and practice

My two cents.

Early HS graduate, and wants to come and participate in bowl practices

I was hoping Queen Vic and Fred Ross would have some offspring. They could produce superhumans.

Steve said that Alex Adams told him while at MS/AL All Star practice that he may recommit to State but he isn't signing until Feb. He's juco bound for sure. Grades aren't there. He's a recruiting ranking bump and then hopefully we re-sign him in 2 years if he's good.

Haynes has never been high on our board for one reason or another. I think Haynes has been wanting to take an OV, but our OVs are limited because of probation, so we have not brought him back in. I haven't seen him play, but it seems he's a bit overrated but still an SEC player.

Sucks but we've never really been in it for Jackson. We took Dylan Lawrence last year as maybe a "best available option," but he's also bff's with Jackson apparently, so we were hoping that would help in our favor with Jackson, but he hasn't been very interested in us. If I had to guess, Jackson ends up at OM or Auburn.
