My father was there on the Battleship USS Pennsylvania. Always a special day for me..

My grandma served in the Pacific theater and was stationed in Australia and The Philippines. Remember her vivid stories of being a nurse on base and being terrified of the Japanese. She’d wake up in the night screaming about the Japanese coming. She HATED the Japanese
