Fish and Held. Do what it takes to keep those two. Maybe I’m a minority here but I also like Austin as well.

Could be tough to keep em long term, but I just want to maintain enough staff stability to get the program back on the winning track before losing any of those guys.

I like Greg Austin. I think the improvement in the line has been the above all the other o line coaches we have had, and he is doing a good job at recruiting.

Gotta lock down Fish and Held, no doubt. Kentucky set a new standard and it's a high bar.

Held won’t leave. He is Husker to the bone and in his dream job.
I think I’ve read on this board that he wants to be a head coach at some point. I don’t think he leaves Nebraska right away, but I do think he will climb the ladder to get a head coaching job, which means he isn’t here forever.

Back up the Brinks truck. We can afford to pay them a lot more. Talent in the coaching ranks is as important as talent on the field.

I think they can be good. This year they are going to have to prove they can develop the talent.

As crazy as it sounds, OL is the only position I feel OK about heading into next year and that’s due to having everybody back. All other positions I have serious question marks.

Held wants to be a head coach though so he will eventually leave. We just have to have solid back ups to replace these guys once they leave. The key to keeping these three is money. I saw where Kentucky just offered our beloved Vince Morrow $900k just to stay with them and not bolt to Michigan State.

You don't think Mills earned the most yards put up against Wiscy ?

Or Wandale as a soph with JD? Behind that O line?

How bout our dbs?

I think the above is ok imo

I like Mills but he can’t carry the ball on every down. You saw how the level of production plummeted when he went to the bench. I don’t like Wandale running the ball, if he does he won’t last 4 games next year. I didn’t see anything breathtaking from Rahmir and the newbies are unknown.

As for the wideouts, we’re going to continue to struggle if we can’t find a 3rd or 4th option, specially having someone who stretches the field. Manning is that guy but I’d like to see how he adapts to D1 ball before crowning him our savior.

And I was just talking about our offense. On the defensive side I agree, I like our DB’s, our front 7 not so much.

I see.
I just think between four guys,we can come up with one at rb for backup. Theres talent in that group.
As for wideout and Wandale running, I think Browns going to surprise some folks, Flemings a burner with a little more size to him,Betts is the real deal too, and Hickman is that great tweener type like QA, so we have numbers, potential and depth all at once, and unlike our jucos, Mannings the only one, and he was the number two juco, so while nothings written in stone, my confidence is running fairly high on these guys, for one, we just didn't have the numbers, having only two second year, from the previous staff,MR did us no favors in the wr room, when you think about what TA had, Reilly,Westy,DPE,Moore and Carter at TE.

Being so far from that, when we were primarily a running team then, and where this staff started, and AM was frosh AA with just two guys, Stan and JD, our numbers, our new OC, and our talent moves things ahead imo.

Sorry, I know you mean Coach Fisher, but my kneejerk reaction was "Oh, maybe he's a pescatarian", which made me think of this clip.
