Huh? He couldn't play Wheeler for 38 minutes. That's not an adjustment.
No Wheeler perhaps helped, even though I think he needs some minutes in most games
Yeah, from what I did see Wallace isn't going to get it done at pg without help.
I think he convinced Wheeler that he was injured. That’s good coaching.

Good rotations and min distribution, even good use of using timeouts.
Need to see more of Wallace, Reeves, CJ, Toppin, and Oscar. Wheeler can rotate in when needed, but doesn’t need a much run as he’s gotten so far.

We definitely lack some ball handling without him. But we’re longer defensively which I think gave UT some problems today.
All I can say is we made our free throws and we killed them on the boards.Lots of ******** calls in the final minutes went against us but the boys played hard and got a very very good win.Proud of the effort today....very proud.
Thiero ran the point at times. Just a great game plan that was executed well by the players. Free throws were the difference.

If we shot our free throws like today we would only have 3 losses right now and even though the team and season would still be flawed it wouldn't be nearly as ugly record wise.
Giving credit where it's due. Cal did coach a great game today and deserves a pat on the back. Only fair to say, and I've been on the anti Cal side lately.

If you enjoyed today (I very much did) I don't see why you would have issue with Tony Bennett as a HC.
He needs work as a player but he can penetrate and get into the lane for sure. Especially at his size.
I like Livingston and Theiro driving to the basket hard.
In my opinion, UT screwed up by not presduring the ball in the backcourt. We had some shaky ball handlers out there.

Yeah great job by Cal today he was actually coaching. Basically went down there and win without a point guard, Wallace was/is hurt. Cats made all the effort plays, killed em on the glass, didn’t get down when they lost the lead - great overall game - proud of the Cats, this is the effort we all wanna see

That's the thing about Bennett, they don't create seperation against anyone with a pulse. Every game is a root canal.
So no, I would not enjoy this every game. You have to realize, we won this one, some of these won't be wins.
want to make the tournament, we have to hold down home court the rest of the way.. this road win and the rest of the home schedule beating Tenn twice and KU would get us in but every game is a must win..
