Lot of good stories with that team.

Mohammed went from 300+lb project to high contributor. Too bad he didnt learn to hit FTs until 98. Long time NBA career too.

At one point we had 2 walk-on guards IIRC. (Epps and Mills)

Almost an entirely different team than 1996 -- Epps, Edwards and Mercer being the exceptions. And, with a one-man freshman class of Jamal Magloire.

Mills was a walk-on. Padgett a redshirt back from suspension. Nazr off the JV team, Prickett back off redshirt, and Magloire a freshman. Winning it all after Anderson went down would have been a huge achievement.

Anthony was never a walk-on. You're probably misremembering because Pitino tried to sale him on walking on, but Epps had a commitable offer from UL as leverage and RP finally gave in and offered.

Where was Jeff Sheppard during this game? You would’ve thought he’d be playing over Mills.

Not only did Mohammed miss all those free throws, he also missed like 3 easy putbacks right at the rim. Mills and Padgett combined missed 3 or 4 open 3's in the 2nd half. So many what if's that game. So frustrating
