Don’t take 3’s then. Go to the basket or pull-up midrange. Remember? The way basketball was played in the 80’s. Pike has to run more set plays. These guys can’t handle the free lancing. It would cut down on the turnovers that go the other way for layups. We need the right guys shooting the ball. Other players need to play defense & be just role players

Pike needs to do something drastic. Like put in the game players that run an offense.

The problem with “not taking threes” is that we need SOMEONE to take, and make, threes.

You can’t win college basketball games hitting only 3 or 4 threes, not when the other team is hitting 6 to 10 threes.

Right now, the only guys who seem competent to hit threes are Geo and Jake. They should be taking a lion’s share of our threes.

He plays so slow and without any passion during this terrible stretch you almost wonder If he has a health issue? Looks sluggish out there

Last 8 games, 5-3.
3 PT shooting
8-22 36.4 W, 5-19 26.3 W, 5-22 22.7 W, 6-15 40.0 W
6-28 21.4 L, 4-19 21.1 W, 3-12 25.0 L, 5-22 22.7 L
42-157 26.8%

RHJ 2-32 6.3%
JY 13-30 43.3%(include 1-8 vs NW)
Geo 13-37 35.1%
Mathis 2-14 14.3%'(2-3 vs MSU)
McConnell 5-27 18.5%
Mulcahy 5-17 29.4%

I think Ron Harper Jr. and the team know these numbers better than anybody unfortunately. After 0 for 3 against Sacred Heart, Ron Harper Jr for 5 games, FDU thru Illinois, shot 21-37 56.8% from three, and 4-6(25-43 58.1% from 3) to take a 48-32 lead at OSU, before missing his last 4 that game, so realistically 9 of his last 63 14.3%

I can't figure out why Palmquist got zero minutes the last two games. I get in a nip tuck game you don't want to sacrifice defense, but man we were down big against Michigan and again toady. We needed anyone to make a shot and no one on the floor could do it. What was there to lose? Isn't that what he's supposed to be good at? Instead we keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. I don't get it.

I think his ankle must be bothering him. He used to excel at getting in the right spot for a dump-off pass for an easy layup. Haven't seen it at all lately.

All I know is this is not an NCAA team with these offensive numbers. They will lose out every game the rest of the season. On to watch our women and RU football
