Something is wrong when a basketball game involving sixth graders is 30-0. Come on. The parents and coaches involved need to do a better job. The team in white has official jerseys and the whole deal while the orange team is in t-shirts. It's pretty obvious they should not be on the same court.

Kid should at least be playing with 8th or 9th graders. Competition in 6th grade isn’t gonna help his game much.

His father was an old school center in the NBA, 6'11 265.
16 year career, 96-12. 7 pts, 7 rebounds, 1.5 blocks.
You can't help he has good genetics at an early age.

Wow, I am ehem, approaching middle age. I remember him playing for the Kentucky Colonels on the ABA. They played at Freedom Hall in Louisville. CBS used to have their games.

You've got the wrong Dampier. Dad is Erick Dampier, SR. Had a long NBA career mostly with the Warriors and Dallas.
Also to state the obvious: Erick is black and Louie is white.

thats just absurd. They also look considerably younger. Maybe they are the same age - but they are kid-to-kid MUCH smaller.

what’s the point of such a game?

It happens. I’ve been coaching youth girls basketball for years. My group this year is very inexperienced, and not yet very talented. The Covid pause killed their early development. We ran into an AAU team recently in our league and we lost by 30. Worst loss of my career (haha) but I wasn’t upset with the other team. My team has improved enormously since then, and we play that other team again in 3 weeks. Looking forward to see how we play this time around.
