In theory, when the coaches realize that their offense is not going to be any good, the conservative run the ball approach is supposed to support a very good defense. Run clock, win low scoring games with defense and special teams.
And without QBs fumbling and throwing interceptions, I think the offensive approach would be working fine. We would certainly have two more wins.

Barry Switzer once stated, "its not the X's and O's but the Jimmy and Joes". Ruhle and staff have been here less than one year and obviously do not have the Jimmys and Joes. Have to give these guys at least three years to get them. Not saying all the coaches are great but they have to have the players.

Offense is way worse this year, D is marginally better. The quality of our competition this year vs. previous is as responsible for the extra couple wins than any other variable. The difference is basically CT and Palmer. Two players with measurable talent at two positions and we're a completely different team. This Could have been done this last offseason, but wasn't....
I think the blame, if we MUST blame something, is the disconnect between this athletic department and the currently Davison-led 1890 NIL initiative. Guess there's a problem there. Anyone wanna shed some light?
