McBride, Dynes, N’Diaye, Montgomery and two TBDs, this is not who we need though it’s who we’ll get.

I've said this before and I'll say it again - if these kids are making $1+ million to play at UK, why do they also get a free ride? Give that money to walk-ons or other sports programs that don't have this kind of NIL income.
Scholarships do not cost the schools what they are valued at. The basketball team is taking about 50 combined classes, out of roughly 125,000 by the entire student population, that is 1 of every 2,500. So if the average class has 50 students, the basketball team contributes 0.02 of those. Thus they cause no increased need in professors. They only cost on dorms if 1) they live on campus, and 2) the school has filled all their rooms and have a waiting list. So the only real costs are meals, electricity to their dorm rooms, and books.

He is still out there & probably at a good price. Great backup at 4-5 With lots to prove & chip on his shoulder. Sign him & Burks - Call the redemption Team. Might as well have fun next year.
I know he's out there, I haven't heard anything about us showing interest. Seems like he had some domestic difficulties at Ohio State.
Burks might be worth a look.

I will guess McBride, two international prospects, possibly Oweh (if the fifth year stuff is approved) and hopefully Stokes. Although I have my doubts on the last two. Probably need another guard as well that’s a jump shooter

That's just another handicap to our recruiting unless everyone else does it as well.

We aren't using 15 scholarships. At most you will have 12-13. It's hard to find many willing to be the 10th-13th man, and nearly impossible to find 14th-15th.

We need 2 PFs (possible 1 is a PF/C, if we add a SF) and we need 1 more G, but 2 is possible.
I think we add 1 G, 2 PF, 1 C

You, me and Dupree
Reminds me of the Owen Wilson interview about Steely Dan's claim that the idea for the movie was stolen from their song Cousin Dupree. He said "I've never even heard of this Steely Dan guy now please excuse me. I'm going to work on my next film "Hey Nineteen".

Probably named his daughter "Peg" too.

Need 2 PFs, a center (not that guy from USC) and another guard.
I super don't get the USC guy at all.

Sure a courtesy zoom because he is from here but I see no use for him.

We already have a cigar man in little Hawthorne and a way better bench 7 footer that I'm pretty sure we need some one that can compete more in the SEC in fornt of him.

He is a senior too, there is likely no big upside to scare up.
He is just extremely tall, I know you can't coach that but unfortunately to date no one has seemingly got more out of him than what pretty much what that alone provides that I can tell.

There are probably better options even for whatever passes for Kentucky "minimum wage".

I've certainly have been wrong before but this one I can't find my way to.

We already have to pay them. Why would they pay us?

I get the sentiment but it also seems to not understand this is a seller's market.

At best you would set up some nonsensical "for the vibes" passthrough set up where we pay them the cost plus to offset taxes and agent's fees.

It is more efficient to just direct resources to the non revenue sports and low income students.

The only answers at this point are, Does he make us better? Is he better than the current guy at his position? If either of those are no, move on. I know the worst poster who has ever been here is trying to troll and be some kind of fake character, but those guys it mentioned are the only ones worth going after if we’re even a tiny bit serious about winning the SEC and a few games in the NCAA tournament. Stokes, Momcilovic, Graves! Juke Harris probably isn’t realistic now I would think, but he’d be better than we have now. The way it’s going we’ll be lucky to get one star player and roll the dice. We should have more money than anyone at the moment, it’s time to make some decisions.

He’s played at Ky - Ohio State & MEMPHIS - 3 great coaches & campuses. Look at Bryce Hopkins last year & imagine BradShaw doing same.
AI predicts 11 pts /6 rebs/ 1.5blks/ per 24 minutes his senior yr. He does foul a lot but makes him an easy sub.
Burks is a NO BRAINER. Might get him for 2+years at a $1.25 million a year .
