Despite all of the precautions that the NCAA is trying to implement to make this tournament happen, those refs all went out to dinner together (they could have individually gotten food and eaten alone instead of socializing) and obviously weren't wearing masks the whole time. It says a lot about their judgement as this was a work trip with strict rules, and thus they deserved to get booted from the Tourney once the one tested positive.

One positive and contact tracing... I hope the ncaa is doing what NFL did by reducing the cycle threshold for pcr and retesting everyone mutiple times after a positive to make sure they are actually sick.

funny thing is he insinuated they got it from dinner. He should refrain from that kind of talk. they have no clue where they got it from.

there was only one positive...so no "they". However, the article did make it sound like the positive guy got it from dining out...which would be damn near impossible to go out for dinner Sunday night, get the virus and test positive on Monday. He got it from elsewhere. The others in his group all have to quarantine because they were around a positive person....the contact tracing.

I was listening to the Rutgers Rant podcast this AM. They were saying how the NCAA has put all the teams up in hotels and the players are quarantined in their rooms for 2 days and that the NCAA has the equivalent of a RA on each floor to make sure the players stay in their rooms. Perhaps they should have the same for the refs......
