What we're seeing now is the everybody cheats/pays for player that was in vogue before the new rules came into being. My gut with no proof is that not all coaches back then paid for players. Of course the supposition that many did seems to be the case.

That doesn't mean that other rules were not bent. It's human nature, especially in a competitive sport with so many A type personalities that everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else.

Guess the best thing I can say without actual proof is that rules will always be bent with the question I have being to what degree.

I had a very close friend in the coaching business with no connection to Seton Hall tell me find a coach who is not cheating and I will tell you his program is in last place.
The only real question is WHEN did Seton Hall begin "cheating" not "if". The 70's? I know we've been paying players since I became a fan in the Gonzo days. Anyone on campus who was remotely friendly with the players knew. I recall Garcia calling it that "Gonzo cash." Everyone gets paid, unless maybe you're a bench player who is just glad to be offered a position on a BE roster, like a Grennan type.

So what you're saying is that you are assuming everyone is guilty without any real proof. I have an open mind and don't need to post LOL on things I cannot prove.

Are many programs guilty as you say? I would assume that yes they are. But without some form of proof I would never single out any particular case.
Cmon

We haven’t reached out to Amarri Tice at least twice during seasons?…which is INSANE in its own right (but that’s a totally different story)

You know we have and everyone does

Are you reading what I am saying? Yes, many coaches or their contacts do what you are suggesting. What I'm saying is that I will not just assume that in a certain case that is what happened.

I do not know for a fact that Hurley reached out to Hines in some form so I will not accuse him of doing it because it's sounds like a logical assumption.

No one is right because we are just stating opinions without having actual proof.

Best to leave this subject as is because we're now just being repetitive.

I can't say I know "for a fact" because I'm not related to the kid and not privy to any such communications or meetings. Which BTW is the case for most things posted by folks here ("I'm hearing "x" from someone who would know").

What I can tell you is the same people who told me Hines was coming here while he was still playing for Plainfield (so in-season), which I posted on our boards at the time, told me last winter (a) there was basically zero chance Hines was returning and (b) Uconn, Rutgers and some others had been in contact with his people.

BTW would watch Uconn with Micah Gordon as well.
