Maybe that's the problemYou are not wrong about the Spurs. They are just very young and the coach is very young and needs some seasoning even with Pop behind the scenes.
... having Pop behind the scenes.

Willis Reed was the inspiration and motivation for the Championship, but Walt Frazier was without a doubt the most valuable player.Just an FYI, there's no way Reed should have won the finals MVP in the 69-70 season. The award absolutely should have gone to Walt Frazier, but the vote was for sentimental purposes.
Reed was injured in game 5 and replaced on the court. He did not play game 6 and barely contributed in game 7. While Frazier had one of the greatest closeout final games in the history of the league.
36 points, 19 assists, and 7 rebounds against Jerry West and the Lakers
Without looking, the Joker has to be one. Thatās easy.Yes, I saw it on ESPN re the other 2nd round MVPs so I am disqualified.

Iād have to really think about the otherā¦
Draymond Green?
Gotta love Clyde, but can't be a basketball fan and not admire Jerry West....His steal of West was classic Clyde. He saw a tell in Jerrys game, knew he could steal when he did it next, so he waited for the right moment and stole the ball from the logo, my hero, Mr Clutch, the one Laker who stood up to the hated Celtics throughout the 60s. But on that night, as Shea expoded with applause when they flashed Clyde's stats, one 16 yr old probably fought back some tears.
Walt has had a longer time in the spotlight than any sports figure I can remember, this is his 7th decade as a famous NYer. And every minute in the spotight, he has shined.
He was thereWas Mark Bryant not in attendance today at the Knicks ceremony? I didnāt see him on stage and he didnāt receive a key to the city along with the other coaches.
As a longtime Jerry fan, it even killed me when he finally won a title in 72 and for maybe the only time in Mr Clutch's career, he shot poorly in the finals. Is the only mvp of the finals to be MVP from a losing team. Remember vs the f'in celts, all game he dribbled a few hard dribbles, rose up straight and hit a jumper, or drove, found Bill Russell waiting for him, yet curled around the hoop and hit it off the board with enough english to get us 2 more points. The only good thing from these memories is remembering my brother Bob, rip 2020, who was a celt fan and watched most of those 60s game with me.Gotta love Clyde, but can't be a basketball fan and not admire Jerry West....
Both were great. Never did I think Iād hear shoutouts to KP, Stoutmire, and Jeffries!BTW, how good was Alicia Keys? Between her and the mayor they dominated the stage. And I say that loving my Knicks.
So sorry about your brother...but as Lakers and Celts fans...I will bet you have LOTS of memories of you and him needling each other over those classic matchupsAs a longtime Jerry fan, it even killed me when he finally won a title in 72 and for maybe the only time in Mr Clutch's career, he shot poorly in the finals. There is a big difference between. The Spurs upside is scaryI think they were young and inexperienced when it mattered most. Donāt think that group is soft; they were actually pretty defiant and frisky for a young group that was probably a year early.
