What has happened to our world? Spending $5 million on a college kid.

- You could give 1,000 families in Lubbock $5,000. Think how that would help those families and stimulate the economy.

- Or invest in low cost housing for the community or the food bank.

Instead they give a 20 year old and his agent $5M which you know will be pissed away. Hope that billionaire feels good about himself. Just to see TT compete for a championship.

Now you’re the what to do with your money police I see…give it to the families in Lubbock then. They’ll still be broke in a month. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you don’t give any money to nil or the family in Lubbock. Keep preaching though. Maybe someone will listen to you but I doubt it!

This is college sports as it dies, and you are witnessing it.

How about all of those people you are going to give free money to go out and get a job and earn it. Take you idiot ideas to the lib board. This isn't the place for it.

Ratings say otherwise.

the big money schools don’t care if there is parity. Teams love to pay bad programs to come to town to piss pound them in front of sell out crowds. Iowa does it in non conference.

The fans for teams like Iowa get excited about a weak schedule because it improves the odds of making playoff.

I have been retired for nine years and my wife and I give to multiple charities annually, one being the childrens hospital. We are conservative and ear mark funds annually to help others. Wish I had that kind of money to give more. Different priorities I guess.

Plenty of working people have trouble affording groceries these days. My local food bank is having trouble keeping up.

Why do actors get paid what they get paid? They are entertainment too.

Consumerism has been the state religion in America for close to a century. Money enables the most faithful to practice their faith fervently.
I get it and make my living off of people who don't stop buying. I wonder sometimes where people put all the stuff they buy from our stores and I sure our stores aren't the outliers.

Naw, better to import 42 million haters and then teach them how to ripoff welfare to the tune of a hundred billion.
