You’re aware Oscar dominated a lottery pick 7’5” center from WKU, right?

Or were you not paying attention to basketball yet when that game happened?
Love the enthusiasm, but the kid from WKU is far from a lottery pick and not on a single mock draft I’ve seen bud

The poster said we need to play better defense against Auburn than we played against Tennessee, and that is 100% true. Nothing you posted has a single thing to do with what you replied to.

The point is that the defense we played against Tennessee was fine in regards to that game because we were absolutely destroying them. We didn't have to play some amazing shut down defense because we were winning by 15+ for the majority of the game. We played an entire freaking half where the closest they ever got was to start the half down 15. The last 17 and a half minutes UT never got closer than 18 points and from the 14 minute on they never got closer than 20 points, with the smallest margin being 24 points. When you're playing that well offensively, the focus does not have to be on lock down defense and that directly contributes to the other team scoring more.

Criticizing our defense when we win by 28 while putting up 107 points is silly. Especially when we had 10 steals and forced 20 turnovers. We have a good defense, and it was even pretty solid against Tennessee. Clearly, it was more than enough to help us win by 28.

Yea I kept saying I love how we’re scoring but we’re not defending much at all. Not trying to be negative about a good win but there’s no denying we need to play much better defense because we can’t score that way every night.

Not a bad take here either. I guess it’s hard to know how to think about it. We’ll find out soon.

Been the best most competitive rivalry of the modern era. Two programs just oozing off class and mutual respect as well. Shame we only get 1 reg season matchup this year.
There it is y’all. Just like Beetlejuice when you mention his name he pops up. No more Laettner avatar? Give us the update on your “handsome” team. Joke.

My biggest concerns about our defense are we don’t have a rim protector, and we don’t have a serviceable backup for Oscar, in case of foul trouble. Smith and Kessler will be by far the most formidable bigs we’ve faced, and obviously we’ll be on the road, so foul trouble has to be a concern. As for rim protection, our best shot blocker is Collins, and he gets very little clock. This isn’t negativity or nitpicking. These are all legit concerns, IMO.

Absolutely completely untrue. Everyone pay attention. This poster has outlined a path to failure. 100% assured. Our defense is still inadequate.

I think he is a JUCO transfer that has ‘intriguing’ potential at the next level. Hard to compare that to WK, just because they both happen to be tall.

Helps when 7 of the 11 games are played away from Rupp. Lucky for you, you all don’t have to return to Rupp this year where you haven’t won a game at Rupp since 1988 and are 0-4 with the average margin of defeat being 15 pts a game since 2015. So STFU you war p*$$y
This x a million.
