Louisa more than likely. Huguenot, Hanover, and Monacan will all be tough. I hear EV will be down but still shouldn’t be taken lightly.
EV may be BETTER than last year by tourney time. There is a lot of talent in that school in football, basketball and baseball.
To your question, I would say there is no "clear cut favorite". It looks like anyone could be anyone (out of the top 5 teams) on any given night.
I will check out one of EV games to see them. Louisa may not even play until sometime next week because the football have the championship game to play this weekend. I’m hoping the extra time for preparing the b-ball team will pay off. The flip side to it is other teams can find an early groove making Louisa play catch up to find theirs.
Not sure where you live, but EV plays a very tough out-of-district/region game at George Wythe on Jan. 13
Yea that’s the type of game I’d like to catch. It’s so hard to gauge a team against subpar competition. I have to take a look at Louisa’s schedule.

1/17 vs Colonial Forge (Class 6)
1/27 @ Grafton
....and if Lou and EV make it past the 1st round (or if they both lose) they will play each other in that Christmas Tournament. EV plays Orange in 1st rd.
That’s some good stuff. Is been a couple years since Louisa squared off against EV Varsity Squad. This should be a good one.
