Big game tonight.
Game has been postponed due to tomorrow. I will not speculate but please pray for the Stuart Cramer communityDue to a medical emergency on the field during warmups the Burns/Cramer gamer is gonna be delayed if not postponed to another date. This is not a good situation right now. Please send prayers for this situation
Thank you my friend for those prayers. His family is going to need them all.Since it has now been publicly reported I will share. Everyone please pray for this man's family and the entire Stuart Cramer community and everyone that was in attendance and watched this happen in real time. This happened about 15 minutes before the game started. It will be played tomorrow.

I hate this for you guys my friend. I feel so bad for y'all's kids.9-0 Burns after 1. Max Davis with 2 home runs in the inning. Cramer has went through 3 pitchers in the first inning. Hats off to Burns for coming in ready to play and playing very well.
Tough life lesson. I mean they had 5 losses this year and 4 by 1 run and the worst loss they had was 5-2 before tonight. Tonight was definitely a combination of a very good Burns team and a Cramer team that is unlike the team they had been all year.I hate this for you guys my friend. I feel so bad for y'all's kids.
Good luck to Burns and Cherryville, bring home those state titles.Burns 18
Cramer 2
Final
Burns will host Game 1 of the Western Finals against Lincoln Charter. It'll be Burns 3rd appearance in the Western Finals in 4 years.
It's been a great run for Burns baseball the last 4 years, that class that graduated last year was really special. And with only 2 seniors on this years team, it's only gonna continue next year! But we have some business to take care of before we think about next yearWas looking at some of the wins and losses for Burns. Last time they had a losing season was 2021, but have not lost more than five games in a season since then. If my counting is correct (I wrote this down on the back of an envelope, no calculator, so maybe off a little) in the last five years, The Bulldogs have won 128 games, and have lost only 19…This includes a state championship and a runners-up…Not going to try and divide this to get a percentage for fear of having a brain lock, but I can tell you it’s between 80 and 90 %, or as they say in Cherryville, “That’s Awful Good.”
*SIDE NOTE: Also noticed something about Cramer’s numbers: in 2024 they lost out in the first round…Then made it to the second round in 2025…Then this year they made it to the third round. As one of these types who is a sucker for patterns it tells me they’ll get around to a title game sometime soon.
Two seniors on this year’s team. That’s special !It's been a great run for Burns baseball the last 4 years, that class that graduated last year was really special. You guys had a good basketball team this year. Won the conference regular season title.Back when I was in school, baseball was an afterthought... Football won 8 games total my three years there and basketball was midfle of the pack.... I am proud of the way Burns has progressed over the years... In all sports. Probably more success on the diamond than the grid iron but football is in a far better place now than in years past. Hopefully hoops can catch up and put some numbers on the board too.
Thank you for the kind words and much respect to the Burns community. Nothing but pure class was shown from the kids, parents, and Burns as a whole. Looking forward to some fun games over the next several years.Much respect to SC. I can't imagine how they managed to even walk out on the field the day after.....
They are making good progress. I'm always proud of Burns, no matter what. Lots of great athletes in our immediate Cleveland/Gaston area. Bunch of good kids. You guys had a good basketball team this year. Won the conference regular season title.
You should see some of these kids coming up from 8th grade. Baseball and Football will be fine for years to come. My son is an 8th grader and it blows my mind how big some of these kids are.Two seniors on this year’s team. That’s special !
