Any upsets tonight? I'm taking (18) Ashe County over (15) Mt Pleasant. I think all the other higher seeds win in 4A

Yep, in the 9th now and you just have to win but odds are good Tuscola is shot on starting pitching should they advance. They didn’t start their ace, which I thought was odd, and now they’ve burnt him up in relief and their #2 came out with 50+ pitches.
Bandys 7-6 winner over Tuscola
Tuscola loses 7-6 in the 10th. I’m not saying I would have won as the coach but several decisions make me scratch my head on how Tuscola chose to play this game.
No real clue what Bandys has, never thought they would beat Tuscola. However this is baseball and you can get these type of results you just don’t see in other sports.
Tuscola gambled with pitching and it bit them. Started and pulled Amsler to have him possibly for Friday and then put Harrell(Ace) in the top of the 6th but they were down and then he ends up throwing a pile of pitches. Multiple runners with no/low outs in extras and little attempt to sacrifice them over.

That 7 and 10 game could be a good one. Brevard has a good squad. I know nothing about Lake Norman Charter, and their schedule makes it difficult to sort out “who they are” from a distance, but Brevard plays good defense, has a very solid infield, and can manufacture some runs. Brevard’s an overall high-IQ squad.
Probably be a couple of upsets but with that said I will just take chalk in this round

Honestly, there were a lot of tighter scores than I was anticipating. I figured it would take to the third round to get to tighter overall baseball.

West Stanly is interesting. Beat some really good teams and then lost to a few teams at the end of the season you wouldn’t expect them to lose to. They must have a lot of talent to win that many games and beat the teams they have beaten.
