Lost 4-3. Led 3-1 going to the 7th. 4 out of our 5 losses we were up going into the 7th inning.
So unless Burns losses one to Shelby, which shouldn't happen, Burns will win the conference title.

Bunker and Foard cannot be 23 and 24 in the west as it stands right now. Bunker is 49 overall and Foard is 53, so they wont be in the playoffs as of today. The top 48 qualify, THEN they divided and figure out who is East and West.
Pisgah and Brevard play both of their games against each other this week. Pisgah needs a split to at least tie for first in conference. Big two games.
Great area for baseball and sports in general. When will the brackets be released. Being in Gaston county I’ve noticed south point has been playing well and should be a team to keep an eye on.

Pisgah defeated Brevard 2-1 last night with a walk off. We’ll have at least a share of the conference title. Beat Brevard Thursday and we win outright. A West Henderson win and Pisgah loss, we share the title.

Honestly they could have ended it after 2 innings. Burns scored 9 runs in the 1st before Shelby even got an out. It was 11-0 after the 1st inning and 16-0 after the 2nd.
Must be payback from that conference tournament championship game in basketball. It was at Cramer so I got to see it.
It is just what Shelby baseball has now. They have struggled the last few years. It's no better in Softball. They have the coaches but the players comes in waves at times.

In the latest mock, they moved West Stanly back to the West. Have Burns as the 2 seed and Cramer as the 6 seed so definitely a possibility they could have round 3.
Yeah there was some changes at the bottom of the brackets that has moved West Stanly back West.

I'm gonna say it's gonna be Burns and South Rowan in the Western Finals.
Very well could be. No predictions but would love to see Burns/Cramer again since they went 1-1 with each team winning 7-6. 15 innings of very close baseball.
Burns will need to get through Lake Norman Charter or Brevard in the 3rd round and Cramer most likely through Pisgah for that to happen but it very well could.
Cramer probably will have to get through Tuscola first (not over looking them). Eliminated Cramer the last two years, and I saw where they split with Pisgah (3 seed in 4A) and West Henderson (7 seed in 5A) so nothing easy starting Friday.
Tuscola is the classic case of if you let a scrappy team hang around when they shouldn’t, they stand a dang good case of winning. That being said they’ve really needed Harrell to throw to win bigger games. Cramer most likely wouldn’t see him and Tuscola falls off arms-wise after that.
To be honest I'm glad Burns got the 2 seed. Not that there's ever an "easy" path through the playoffs but West Stanly has to deal with South Rowan, Lincoln Charter & RS Central (who beat East Rutherford twice last week). That's a tough road for West Stanly. Feels like Burns got a little better draw at the 2 seed. Assuming Burns wins obviously we'd see Brevard/Lake Norman Charter then Pisgah or Cramer.
If Brevard can make it to Burns with Mason as an option to start on the mound they could probably make it a game, he spots the ball very well and has good defense behind him. I’m not sure if any other arm of theirs could neutralize Burns’ bats.
As for Pisgah. Pitching, and we have a decent amount of starting quality, keeps us in games and then the offense comes through. If we can get the offense to generate runs earlier in, and throughout games, things could look solid for us.

I'm kinda hoping for a Burns / Pisgah matchup. Been keeping an eye on you guys all year.
4 of Cramer’s 5 losses are one run losses, and 3 of them they were leading in the 7th inning and the other one we were leading in the 6th. I just hope we can figure out a way to finish games. Think our pitching and offense is enough to put us in position to win.
That's the fun part about the playoffs, any team can beat any team, it just takes somebody having an off night to get upset. One and done until you get to the Regional Finals. You just never know
If softball wins tonight they play at Pisgah Friday.
