Marshall students pay a huge price as well. They are charged huge fees to support the athletic department.

Meanwhile HS counselors are being told not to promise anymore Promise Scholarships because of a budget shortfall.

10 of 63 G5 programs are less subsidized than Marshall. 30 of 65 P5 schools are less subsidized than wvu.

Yet again, we compare much more favorably to our peer group than does wvu.

Only a graduate of Marshall HS could come to that conclusion. 0% of WVUs budget comes from tax dollars. 1/3rd of Marshalls does.

Oh, I was wrong. It's 31 schools with a smaller subsidy percentage than wvu, not 30. I miscounted the first time.

Well, since I wasn't talking to you, I don't care what you care about. I was responding to the one poster asking for a link and the other that said I was lying. They conveniently had no follow up posts after proven wrong.

Here's your follow up.

Do you know what they classify as a subsidy in those stats? I'm going to bet you don't, but I'll help you out a little.

It isn't just tax money, of which WVU takes practically nothing (it's something like $30k/year of a $70M+ budget). In our case, it would be the fee attached to tuition, so even at our 4.86%, that is not a burden on WV's coffers.

Marshall on the other hand .........

Marshall fans, proof that a little information is dangerous.

Anybody else find it ironic that Rock98Dog conveniently had no follow up posts?

That is typical for turd posters. You back up your statements with facts that destroy their posts and they disappear for a few days. Then they pop back up and start new threads and the cycle starts all over again.

Fact # 1...Moo U has no money for athletic dept, zero. No TV $, no ticket sales, no donors.....none. Doc's contract costs more than their entire CUSA TV $ share

Fact # 2...state of WV is broke, broke *** broke. No more tax subsidies for athletics

Fact # 3...Moo U athletics are going to be club sports in about 2 years.
