Rhule has stated several times that he likes the flexibility of a 3-man front. However, that does not extend to how an odd front is usually recruited, where typically big run pluggers are favored. Tony White did not have that type of NT at Syracuse, but of course the Orange are not a bit destination for such players. He lucked into having a true nose in Nash and Ty was also a bit of a mutant at the heavy end spot. It just seems the guys on the roster now look for typical for a 4 man front. I will say that Nwaneri and Davis are growing into prototypical ends for a 3 man front.
