I hated that foul. I wanted burned clock and no three pointer, and we could have burned a few seconds where he caught the ball. Did he mean to foul him right away?

I thought it was too early to foul as well. According to the announcer, Pope did a thumbs up. My best guess is that if that particular player touched the ball, we were to foul. Afterall, he was 1 and 5! It is fun to debate the strategy since we won the game. Had we lost, we would be having a very different conversation.

It wasnt the worst scenario. An open three pointer was unacceptable, so I was just happy we avoided it.
