3x3 basketball

Anyone watched this in the Olympics? Might be fun to play in the driveway but it’s terrible watching on tv

I said the same thing. Ridiculous. 3 on 3 tourney is like a beer league rec tourney. Not a real sport. Tennis ball homerun derby or miniature golf need to be included

I watched a few matches during the 2020 Olympics and one of them featured a team from an Eastern Europe country that had 2 guys with visible beer guts. One dude blew out his shoe so he subbed out and wrapped tape around the shoe in the middle of the game.

It was like they were televising a random pickup game at a court near the Olympics.

You beat me to it. I was going to ask what those here that are into BKB thought of it.
I've watched 4 women and 3 men's games trying to give it a shot but it's not working.

Watching the women last night (finally won a game) and they said despite the 0 and 3 start before the win they still had an outside chance to advance. I could only wonder, how many "chances" do they get, how long does this thing go on?

Been enjoying the Olympics all week but they turned "official" today with T&F. That 10,000 M race was incredible.

The one thing I took from the 3x3 other than the beer league look...glad we didn't waste funds on HVL, she's easy on the eyes and that's it.

I think the 3 on 3 was to allow countries to compete in basketball that might not do as well with 5 on 5 because of roster sizes. It’s still terrible to watch.

Fun fact- the ball is the same weight as an indoor ball, but it's a size 6 intermediate.
