Before you get upset at ticket booth Friday night, the NCHSAA has dictated ticket prices for 3rd and 4th round be $14 per ticket. This price is not set by individual schools
Q needs a raise! They’ve lost their dang minds
Why go up in 3rd round...not good
You’re probably right. For the Thomasville-Chase game, there were 291 total tickets sold for both teams. By the time they factor in the money they pay to the city for use of the stadium and the officials, not a lot left.I understand the concern over the price increase and especially for an entire family. However, the amount of cost the host school has to cover, which includes officials and payment to the visiting team can be substantial. This past Friday, Thomasville only had 66 people in the stands on the other side. All I can say is that Thomasville probably got more net money than Mt Airy after all was said and done.
If you had 66, you had 44 more than the visiting brought to the game I was at.I understand the concern over the price increase and especially for an entire family. Just to add you go to your local senior citizen place to get these. I did have one a few years ago someone gave me but since then I’ve just paid at away games. I have season passes at all events at our school and I can still get in free for playoff games. Looks like I may only have to pay for one playoff game and then a State Championship game! For those you age 60 and over, get a Senior Tarheel card! Good for free admission to ALL NCHSAA sponsored events statewide. Save a bunch of money on all sports during playoffs. During regular season, most conferences do not accept these cards for admission, though schools MUST for playoffs.
Years ago, many years ago. You could buy a student pass at school for half price .Should be that way now.Students should not have to pay full price
I would not quit supporting my school and the kids over what the State is doing.1000 fans at $7 is the same as 500 fans at $14. But the schools lose on concessions and other sales.
If a lot of fans stay away because of the ticket price, state will lose out in the final tally.
Yes it's no problem to get one and then spend more at concessionsJust to add you go to your local senior citizen place to get these.
