John Marshall is the best team in the state regardless of class. Everyone else in 3A playing for the right to get blown out in state finals. Put it in ink not lead, JM back to back state champs.
Waynesboro is going to be better than people think
They don't have the top flight talent of JM..... but they could make some noise in conference play...

The conference must be loaded then. Spotswood should be in VA preps 3A top 4, TA they have at #8, and then possibly Waynesboro??

I will be curious to see how Fort Defiance is able to reload this year. Losing the big man in the middle will hurt, but they should still be pretty decent. They only lost to 2 teams last year (Spotswood and Western Albemarle), just lost to one of them at the wrong time in the season, to cut their playoff run short.

Waynesboro wasn't great last year and they lost Chevez Harvey to graduation. Spotswood, TA, and Fort will all be better than Waynesboro more than likely.
Speaking of TA, they should have a pretty good year with a majority of their team back from last year. Their coach has really turned things around in Bridgewater. As for Spotswood, will anyone in the district/conference actually give them a close game? I don't see anyone keeping them within 20, they're going to be really tough this year again. I heard they beat 5A State champs Potomac in a scrimmage this past Saturday.
I'm just glad basketball season is finally here!

Famous last words? Heard the same thing about Bruton last year. JM may well win it all but a lot can happen from year to year.

I'm wondering the same thing. As for district play, Lee is likely to drop a little bit since they lost their best returner and their best incoming Freshman (who would be one of the top 2 players on the varsity as a freshman), Fort is likely to not be as good as they were last year, and Waynesboro may be about the same, so I don't see them threatening Spotswood by the way things look on paper for the preseason, but I hope they make me look dumb and prove me wrong.
Havent seen John Marshall play...from what I hear they are pretty good.. I have family that plays for Norfolk Collegiate and they have a date with John Marshall sometime this year..should be a good one
