9 games. I can see atleast 5 if we keep current form. Team looks excellent.

We are in a good spot, not dropping PSU would of been great.

If we beat Northwestern twice, Nebraska, Maryland, and split with Minnesota, we are in the tournament. Not really a huge stretch anymore

The NET has to be using some effiency numbers and yesterday they were off the charts
Yeah, I couldn’t confirm how heavily efficiency is weighted, but it could be as much as 50% since they only use two factors now. Changed from last season.

exactly and that is why RU took a big hit after the Michigan State loss and even in some other bad losses. The quality of win was there but RU was losing in a way that hurt the metrics. Probably why a school like Penn State whose is sub 500 is in the top 40, they are keeping their games close even in defeat.

We would need to win at least 5 to end at 10-10 in B1G play and maybe an NCAA bid. Personally, I'd like to win 6 more and end up 11-9 in conference and 15-9 overall. I believe that would assure us an NCAA bid.

Like Penn State who had lost some games don't like playing team on losing streak. Due to play better.

At 15-9 think we are pretty solid gotta hope lack of OC games doesnt come back to bite us in the *** should have had another 3 or so games. Would be nice to get Seton Hall on schedule Win at least 2 in the B1G tourney and golden.

I believe we are a lock at 10-10 with our quad wins. I even think 9-11 may be good enough. I think the loss of OOC games may hurt those traditional bubble teams from weaker conferences.

10-10 is a 100% lock.
9-11, and we have a decent chance as well.

Like I said to Hinson, maybe on both. All I know is we all just want to see our boys in the NCAA's that they missed out on last season.

Not understanding the SOS metric - pretty low considering we have 11 games in Q1/Q2 which is only shared by about 5-6 teams (Kansas plus a bunch of other BIG teams)

I also hope we can still add at least one more OOC game against another NJ division 1 team. We cannot take any game in the BIG for granted. Just focus on one game at a time and we should do fine. Northwestern is a good team. They can light it up the way they pass and shoot the ball.

Currently, UNC at NET of 49 is considered last team IN per bracketologists.com. Of course they are only using the NET as a guide. Any NET in low 40’s or better come tourney time though should be safe.

A game against a weak school would drag our numbers down.

Now up to 32 in NET

Q1: 4-5
Q2: 2-1
Q3: 2-0
Q4: 2-0

Only non-Q1 loss was @MSU
Which places us at about a 7 seed right now. We keep on winning the finish 11-9 or 10-10 maybe a 6 or 7 seed is in the cards.

That was a quad 2 win last night. People are whacked for complaining. Not out of the realm of possibility that it could even become a Quad 1 win if NW can win a few down the stretch, they're at 86 so just need to jump 11 spots.

With losses at both Iowa and UM, a reasonable finish to the season (before conf tourney, if we have one) is 15-9/11-9, with a breakdown of:

Q1 - 4-7
Q2 - 5-2
Q3 - 3-0
Q4 - 3-0

That's a 7 (borderline 6 seed resume).

Win one of the big road games (Iowa is ripe for the taking), and get to 12-8 conference, and I think we are a 5 seed.

While matchups will be everything, of course, a 6 seed with the team playing with high confidence, feels like a recipe for a run. 11 (stanford -ish), 3 (Mizzou/Kansas - ish), and 2 (Nova - PLEASE)

Frankly, as long as we avoid Gonzaga and Baylor, we can pretty much beat or lose to any team in the top 6-7 seeds. I could 100% see us lose round one in a 8-9 matchup, or make the elite eight if we get hot.

.500 in conference is an NCAA lock.

The NET could make the selection process so weird this year with so few OOC games to differentiate bad major conference teams from bad mid majors. If Colgate, Drake, Loyola Chicago, Boise and St Bonnie’s keep winning efficiently against their own conference bottom feeders.

The NET formula needs some adjustments when Loyola is 12-3 (0-1 Q1 and 2-2 Q2) but still ranked #16. What is their best win to justify that ranking?

Colgate 7-1. ZERO games in Q1 or Q2, 3-1 in Q3, 4-0 in Q4 yet they are #15? C'mon, man.

Drake just beat 4-11 Illinois State 78-76 to remain unbeaten. Rematch is tonight.

It is possible both Drake and Loyola get bids from the MVC based on NET.

Colgate looks like the only Patriot team that will get a bid. Seeding could be interesting. If the Patriot has a conference tournament this year and Colgate loses, can they steal a bid?
