3 times inside the 5 yard line, 0 points and a failed 2 point conversion. 493 yards of offense and 19 points. One has to coach not to score. That has to be a college record. First 50 passes 0 into endzone. No one can cover duff, don't throw to him. Its impossible to be that incompetent but Greg found a way. How smith isn't left at the airport and probably flying first class home. Look at the last three qb stats and the amount of career games played. Oregon might score 80.

This is it. 500 yards of offense and 19 points. There’s a whole separate conversation to have about the defense, but while the offense is “sexier” this year, it’s not getting the job done.

Schiano cannot win in the B10. It is time for him to accept that and move on.
C’mon. He’s probably the greatest con artist in history making millions by doing little more than wearing RU attire and a headset that for all we know is a fake prop just for show.

No way the fraud leaves of his own accord because no other program would hire him, just like no other program would hire him when we did, but Shelby digresses…

Out coached last 3 games
Actually out-coached in the last 4 games against P4 opponents when you include the Bowl game against KSU. And out-coached in 5 of the last 6 games against P4 teams when you include the Illinois debacle.
Feel bad for our new AD and the sh#tshow she has walked into with our Clown Football HC. Hopefully her fund raising endeavors will be enough to end this misery after the end of next season.

This is year six! At what point will we no longer accept “we’re getting there” and “we’re a developmental program“? It just hasn‘t worked out with Greg. Time to move on. Who knows what the future will bring, but we’ve got to try someone else. Greg is not the answer.

We’re in positions to stay in the game…and each time, we collapse in the second half. Whatever the locker room discussion is among the coaches, it’s gotta change.

This was a MUST WIN game to show that they could’ve overcome losing two straight winnable games. Turns out that this was a winnable game as well. Unfortunately it’s going to be the SOS as things won’t change until at least the end of 2027…

Collapse started in the first half. Should have been minimum 14 point lead going into half. Left too many points on the field in first half with poor red zone execution.

Second half collapse also a sign of talent differential and lack of depth. You see it all the time, the smaller program hanging tough the first half, and the bigger dog pulling away in the second half. Losing all those 3rd Q to opponent definitely sounds like opponent makes better adjustments and then has the talent to capitalize on those changes.

The buck stops with the HC in year six. These are his guys. He's responsible for any gaps in the roster. He selected the coaching staff. His staff identified the portal candidates we could afford.

We seemed to have plateaued with Schiano & Co -- he lifted us from. Ash era debacle to competitive. Can he take the next step with more NIL?

He's not getting fired now, or tomorrow, or next year, because of the length of time on his contract. Who's going to pay the 30 million? He'll have somewhat more NIL funds to play with in the near future, but no guarantee his contract gets extended if the program doesn't take that next step. He'll probably just retire.

No good coach is going to Rutgers in the current environment w/o a substantial increase in NIL. That's just the way it is in today's college game. Absent exigent circumstances, the financials need addressing before you fire a coach and eat big contracts.

Omg who is CFb talk daily? Does he realize this is a business now and 19 years was a long time ago
Shelby never thought to excuse Grifter Greg’s gross incompetence because he’s a father, a husband and a Christian. Shelby now takes back every criticism and instead believes another raise and extension are well-deserved.

the pattern of games from ucla to illinois to kansas state to iowa to minnesota to washington says alot

an offense that can put up points but fails over and over again in big spots when the chips are down and a defense that cannot stop a damn thing. One constant seems to be a pattern of boneheaded calls, stubborness and inability to adjust to the other teams adjustments. The sad reality is that the hunger that existed in some of Gregs 1.0 teams are totally absent in 2.0. Its likely because of the changing times, the nil and players just are different than they were 20 years ago but its pretty clear that Greg is not suited for the game in 2025

I don't always agree with you, bac, but I do on this one. Yes, I wanted him back 6 years ago, but I told my wife " I hope he's changed". Sadly he has not. The last 3 games proves that!
