Can someone tell me why when the ‘others’ are sending more rushers than we have blockers why we don’t step into a 3-step drop and throw a slant? (Honest question)

Slant, hitch, zig, go route, something.

Screen??

UCLA wasn’t hiding it.

Quit paying coaches a bunch of money to come here and become lazy. I don’t think our team practices. They look unprepared every week and it’s getting worse

Watch the game again, there are quick routes open and Raiola is ignoring them and looking deep.

Honest question, how do you see that on many of the plays? TV view doesn't show most receivers at all.

Like I said a couple of weeks ago, Raiola loves making off-balance "touch" throws and damn near refuses to do anything else.

I expected he would have some struggles this year, but his bad habits are getting worse and the staff doesn't seem to want to do FA about it.

Because Satterfield doen't care what the defense is doing or what is working. He just calls plays that he likes. I honestly think we get a minimum of 200 yards on the ground if we stuck with it.

Yeah I get that and have seen some. But they do such a poor job, many plays just left guessing.
I would love to see the coach's film of the last few games. Actually, no I wouldn't. I already waste enough time on this.

You can’t coach a player like you’re lucky to have him. You have to coach him just like every other and any other QB or player on the team. I don’t 100% know this is what’s happening, but from a distance it sure looks like their afraid to be tough on DR.

The dude thinks he is Mahomes and now after watching it for the last 6 games, I am starting to get weirded out by it.

I talked to a couple of people who were at the game and yes there were receivers open on numerous occasions ! They were on the shorter routes but for some reason Raiola can't seem to pull the trigger and waits too long.He either doesn't see it or he has predetermined who is passing to.I said it before,he lofts his passes and doesn't seem to have much zip on them.

OP is on to something.

Why is our QB taking a 3 step drop when we are in full time shotgun?

Sounds like a combination of being dinged up and also being a freshman. Having the discipline to take check downs and keep the chains moving is an art that only comes from experience.

This is a really, really, really good post. It worries me a lot that DR isn't getting coached hard enough.
