3 (Non) Calls

1. The non-jump ball call that then had to be a double dribble where the refs had a conference and still gave UF the ball.

2. Guy dives into TyTy’s leg. No call.

3. Guy runs from across the court to shove Lance. No call.

Just how much money did the refs have on Florida tonight, and how sick are they right now?

They should all be out of work tomorrow. They’d all be hung from the rafters at Cameron if it were K.

I was surprised Noone had complained about these refs, I guess we've learned to accept it. But those were all 3 obvious calls that went uncalled. Had me searching for the line for today's game. I hate feeling this level of distrust, but man, sometimes they make it hard.

They also showed the replay of Oscars shot at the top of the key where he gets his own rebound and scores at least 7 times…..Castleton fouls him on the floor and on the shot. Blatant missed call

It’s now coming out that Mintz was asked about TyTy and thinks he should be okay. Also starting to see some reports it is indeed lower leg/ankle injury. I am doing my best to manifest it being a minor injury into existence.

it was a terrible missed call. Whether it was dirty or not it was pretty reckless, and for no call to be called is just a joke.

We were too pissed off and worried about Ty.

Idk why we've given officials such immunity and power. I know it's a tough job and they have to be protected in some manner.

But today's game should be reviewed by the SEC. What these refs did was the same thing as losing a case, missing a sale, breaking a system. They messed up, they need to get called out for it, and if it continues their job should be in jeoprady.

All of those calls were clear to me, with three officials you have to think all three couldn't miss each one.

We gripe when the refs call too many fouls, and we gripe when they don’t call enough. Just no pleasing BBN. 😉

It's a downside of college basketball. A lot of teams -- like Vandy, South Carolina and Florida -- just aren't very talented. The only chance they have is to slow the game down, try to be as physical as possible, grab, tug, flop, etc., and hope the refs allow them to stay in the game that way.

Unfortunately, the refs oblige almost every time.

I’ve been sick to my stomach since it happened. Sounds dramatic but I almost bailed on some plans tonight lol. I was about to be distraught through the night until these early reports have started coming out.

Dude. That was our season. I felt the same watching Noel go down and I didn’t like Noel nearly as much as I love TyTy.

The ones that bother me are rules violations that they miss. The double dribble being an obvious one. The other obvious one they missed is when he had the ball, lost control and the shot clock horn sounded about a second before the UF guy grabbed it. It should have been a shot clock violation on us, but they let UF play on.

That double dribble/jump ball was ridiculous. About as ridiculous as the No call on the dead ball contact. Those dude should never officiate another college game.

We sometimes confuse incompetence for malevolence. I mean, this IS Tony Greene we're talking about here....

3 was the worst to me. How that was not a tech, I have no idea. 2 was an out of control player not intent on the ball. I didn’t see the first. A guy has to pee sometime.

I don't know but that was the three dumbest calls I have ever seen in 60 years of watching basketball and they all went against UK in the same game. Makes the 1972 Olympics call in the US/USSR game look like a good call

Even with the 3 questionable calls todays refs called a better game than the usual 3 blind mice we normally get(Lindsey, Nance, Shows, Jordan, Adams)

Absolutely no clue how you can review the Ware play and conclude that it was nothing. While it wasn’t particularly forceful, the guy ran from clear across the court and put a body in Ware’s back.

I know people groan over it.. but the more we allow for reviews, replays, and coaching challenges the better. Yes, the game might take 5 to 10 more minutes, but its worth it to get the calls right.

I think back to the last second goaltend by LSU a few years back that cost us a win. That should have been reviewable and it should have been challenged.

I mean, what if he had run up and flicked the back of his ear with his forefinger? Is that a tech or not?

I dread Tuesday night. Dykes could not believe they didn't call a T on McKissick. He needs to watch all our games just for one season and see what we go through. These older refs have been around long enough, some of them are just bias. What other reason to miss blatant calls like today? Tuesday, our guys better be super pumped out of their heads to not let the refs beat us. We know what is coming.

Matt Jones semi defending refs. That crap pisses me off.

“What are you gonna do fire them?”

YES. STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

“Being an official is hard”

Boohoo. They chose the job. And we’re not talking judgement calls here. We’re talking blatantly bad missed calls that are obvious to even the casual fan.

That’s the crazy part. They checked the monitor and concluded it was nothing. I hate college Bball refs.

Then allow for challenges where applicable.

I know it won't fix everything but it would take some power away from officials.
Coaches absolutely should get a challenge. It works in the NFL and proves what incompetent idiots some of those stripes are.
